3. run the installer :./homm.3_1.3.1a-english_x86.bin |

It is a graphical , intuitive procedure. The defaults worked brilliantly for me on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I didn't have to install additional software - the installer has its libraries. |

The installer creates a shortcut in the gnome games menu , probably it will do it in kde too. The other way is to go to where you chose to install the game and run either ./homm3.dynamic.sh or ./homm3.sh |
