"Nymby'm recommended this Nymbility!" - Ruby. |
Prologue. |
October 8, 1999, Agent Ratta's headquarters in Shtanghenhain. |
Agent Ratta was absorbed in entering the course of his next successful mission into the journal. His work was interrupted by a loud bell. Agent |
Ratta put a pen in between the pages on which he had finished writing and approached the door quite quickly. When he opened it he saw the face |
former friend Michael Yelltsone #, owner of a longer corporation that designs advanced gadgets that were supposed to |
help agents during the mission. Yelltsone, seeing the door open, was about to ask who opened it, but early enough he realized that |
the door was not opened by a man, but by a relatively large rat. Yelltsone turned his head down and said: |
- Good morning, Ratta. Am i not disturbing ? |
- Of course not. I was describing my last September mission in Laskin. It was a very unpleasant experience. For many months |
I didn't participate in such a brutal shooting. Unfortunately, five people were killed and one of the criminals escaped, but I do not think his stay on |
Freedom lasted too long, and by the way, I just wanted to ask about a little thing. We've got a computer crash, and the IT specialist is apparently stuck in the |
Traffic ... do you know computers? |
- I'm not a specialist ... |
- Somehow we can withstand this moment ... I had to write a report (catch) manually ... so what brings you back? |
- I have an offer from Janil Dupnicki. |
- Do you introduce me to my studio? |
- I just wanted to say something. Janil wanted to repay the mission and came up with a system based on which the robot would work. |
HTI will finance this project. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no certainty as to the material from which this robot is to be constructed and it is still there |
a few unknowns regarding the functionality of the system ... here is the project. |
Yelltsone handed Agent Rata a heavy briefcase and continued: |
- Janil also asked to be contacted after reading the whole. |
- Thank you. |
- In case of problems you can contact me. |
- Well, I'll remember that. |
- Goodbye. |
- Each other. |
January 16, 2001, Dupnictwo. |
On this day an important meeting was taking place in Dupontia, where Agent Ratt, Smudge, Piastus and people from HTI met with Janil. Meet |
took place in a large meeting room in the ministry building. Janil spread the rat robot plan on the big table and began to say: |
- After a few months break, I started thinking about this very important project and realized how big his project would be |
importance in missions that he will perform in the future. Over the past two weeks, I have also been able to remedy one of the related problems |
with its construction. |
- Will we be able to accomplish this project in two years? someone from HTI asked. |
- I'm pretty sure that two years is not enough - Janil replied - This is not a simple device. You have to install there very much |
complicated software, various weapons, including: guns, lasers, blades and explosives. In addition, steering, function |
floating up to a few meters above the ground, but the biggest problem is the material I chose, Hastelinate Granite. This raw material is |
extremely rare and occurs mostly on the rocky planet Yoghiij-Uhjinnum in galaxy A-35544. Under favorable conditions this expedition |
space will last eight months, but don't worry. I already have candidates, and the equipment is being prepared at a really express pace. |
Someone from HTI said again: |
- I would like to know the dimensions of this device. Just the length. |
- About twenty-six centimeters. |
The man did not hide his surprise, and Janil continued: |
- Yes, when it comes to size: it should be a small, auxiliary, reconnaissance machine (and not only) but a machine with huge firepower. You must too |
to know that there is no known substance on our planet that could damage Hastenlinate Granite when it dries. Is not in |
even lava can do it. As for the whole project, I'm going to make a car, another Ratmobile, to present on it |
our project. Probably, however, we won't be able to dispose of Hastelinian Granite on such a large scale that it will be proportionate |
enough for a demonstration model. This raw material is of course obtained as a powder and then it is hardened. We don't know yet, |
where to look for further deposits of our raw material, so for now thinking about the next projects of this type is not an option, but ours |
the project has already gained a name. Together with my scientists this project was called "Rubinek". We took the name from red eyes glowing in the dark |
job. We decided to call the test project R2. Yes to distinguish, because the eyes will probably be edited. Well ... unless we do to |
Bursztynek. |
- Janil, are you one hundred percent sure that creating this Rubinka is really real? another person from HTI asked. |
"I already have a solid plan, so just a fool to give up." Rubinek will be the first such advanced robot in the world. Maybe even |
will begin to feel human emotions. We implant all the relevant information into him, and to get the less important information, go to the Internet. |
- There is one more important thing. Namely the power supply. |
- I thought about that too. Rubinek spares energy from the environment in a cost-effective way. Because it processes it all the time, you don't need it at all |
land. This is a very useful patent, but unfortunately it also has quite high costs, but don't worry. We have money. His |
Agent Ratt will be the owner, but as I have already talked to him, if necessary other agencies will also be able to buy him out temporarily, |
because there are no faults during the mission. It is not, however, that if God forbid something break, we can't get it |
inside Rubinka, because there is a special screwdriver that needs to be screwed into his stomach ... this is the chassis. He can't do that, however |
anybody, because Rubinek scans faces, fingerprints and retinas of the eye and records in his library who is who and if he can |
trust. In the event of an "uninvited guest", he activates the defense system and then leaves the place of danger. If a friend Rubinka decides |
join his opponents, Rubinek sooner or later finds out and catches him. It will also be perfectly in a different one |
kind of situations, and day by day will understand more and more. Over time, this will not be a normal machine. He will start thinking like us ... |
- I would not like to disturb - someone from HTI cut in - but was the placement of the mine launcher in such a place really a good idea? |
"It's a patent that has long been used in Ratmobiles," Janil said, "there are twenty-four silver faces in Rubink at once. In their case |
scarcity is replenished by putting mines into a small container between the rear wheels, with an imitation of paws attached. Mines are removed under |
tail. I know it's a bit gross, but first of all I didn't have any other place to put this launcher, and secondly it's convenient. Tail |
however, it has no functions. It's just a decoration. In the case of "bowel movements", Rubinek lifts him up and then lowers him on |
down. Rubinek can also release several mines at once. One mine is able to blow up a car, and has a diameter of seven |
millimeters. It's economical. I and all cooperating agencies will have constant contact with Rubink. Can contact us |
even in places where you cannot talk on the phone because of the lack of coverage. Anyone else have any questions? |
- Can Rubinek jump? |
- Yes, but not high. As I said, it can float in the air. And that's not all. The maximum speed on a stable surface is |
two hundred and seventy kilometers per hour, and up to three hundred and twenty in the air, thanks to the new technology I developed. |
Finally, we have a chance to win against Roxi ... and this is not a joke. When Roxi returns we will have something to destroy him. If you don't have any more |
I am finishing the meeting today. If I have any information related to Rubink to tell you, I will contact you |
phone. |
February 3, 2004, northern Rurön. |
A crowd of people stood around the massive hangar Janil spoke to: |
- Creating Rubinka is my current hobby, not my main job, so the whole project takes a while, but the space expedition has gone |
successfully and the astronauts were back in Dupontia on December 17, last year. They brought valuable material in the form |
pollen. To get the hardest version of Hastelate Granite, you need to soak it with special substances and have to spend some time in |
the right forms to dry, but when it's dry, we're helpless. At least for now I don't know any substance personally, |
that can even gently affect its performance. It may be even better, but during the construction process you have to have eyes around the head, but on |
Fortunately, I have specialists in construction that I can trust with confidence. If you thought all the time that work on Rubinek was only |
jokingly and they did not take place at all, you were right, I was not able to outsmart you. Okay, probably as you guessed it was a joke but |
if you want to see that work on Rubink really is ongoing, I will present R2 to you in a minute, but first ... can I ask Piastus? |
Agent Ratt replied: |
- Unfortunately, he is absent today. I think he was poisoned with batteries during the mission. |
- It's such a shame. Let him recover as soon as possible. |
- Yes, he'll be fine ... |
Then the huge hangar gates opened. |
"It's not my merit," Janil said. "Someone is there!" |
And then the powerful five-meter (not counting the tail) vehicle R2 entered the race track, which ran around the hangar. After taking one |
lap, he stopped, however, and when turning upwards, his solid door opened, everyone noticed the driver. He was Piastus. |
"I had to adjust the chair and pedals," Piastus mocked. |
Then the cat Smudge appeared who said: |
- It was all planned. |
"You guessed it, Smudge," Janil replied, "it was like turning up the tension. Do you have any questions? |
- How do you drive if there are no windows? Someone asked. |
- There are cams outside the vehicle that record the appearance of the surroundings. The preview is displayed on the computer inside. |
- You can see that the tail significantly extends the vehicle. What does it do and how do you turn around with it to the second lane while driving? |
- The tail has no function, it is a decoration, but with one button you can lift it up so that it does not disturb. one can |
also partially slide it in. According to the agreement, Agent Ratta becomes the temporary owner of the vehicle. |
Then the owner of the building of the private agency A087 raised his hand to ask the question: |
- Rubinek would definitely serve our A087. Would it be possible to rent it temporarily for a fee when it arises? We would gladly examine |
him and tested it in the field. |
"If Agent Ratta agrees, I don't see the problem," Jani I answered. |
After the whole meeting, Agent Ratt went over to the owner of A087 and stopped talking to him. |
- I know that it will take some time for Rubinek to rise, but I wanted to determine such a small thing. Will I be able to rent in the future? |
from you Rubinka and R2? Of course for an additional charge. |
- Yes, I don't see a problem. |
- A thousand deer in one month satisfy you? |
- I think so ... |
- I want to check it out a little, examine it ... show my family what Janil did. Yes, only authorized persons know this one for now |
design ... |
- When I lend him to you, I will keep in touch with him, he will tell me everything. We will determine the details when the time comes. I'm going now |
for a test drive. What times are these! That Piastus would be the first to test my equipment? It's unthinkable ... |
Chapter 1. Ruby in A087. |
Before Rubinek was produced, some time had to pass. All work was completed in the summer, two thousand and sixth year. |
At that time Rubinek became the property of the agency where Agent Ratt worked. Nothing changed because they only knew about the whole project |
insiders. A few days after the presentation, Agent Ratty's phone rang. The head of the organization A087 called, with whom Agent Ratta |
he had talked much about Rubink before. |
- Agent Ratto, how's Rubinek? |
- I still can't believe that Janil managed to create something so amazing and functional. |
"I'd like to play with it a little and examine it a little." I can do him training. |
- How much time do you need it. |
- Can it be for a month? It's been a long time, but our agency would need to examine it well. |
- A week is not enough? |
- I don't think we can get all the tests done in such a short time. |
- What price do you propose per month? |
- Eight hundred jelars. |
- I agree, but if you need to participate in some important mission Rubinka, you will give it back to us for some time, and these few hours, |
or days, we will add to the contract. Yes it can be? |
- Of course. So when can we meet? |
- Maybe tomorrow, noon? |
- Yes, maybe. See you soon. |
- See you soon. |
After the conversation, Agent Ratta told Rubink: |
- You will have vacation at A087. |
- Why not? |
- They want to get to know you better. Can you finally explain to me what "Nymby" means? |
- Ask my programmer. |
Agent Ratt called Janil: |
"Do you have a moment to talk?" |
- Yes ... what are you calling about? |
- I mean Rubinka. What exactly does "Nymby" mean? |
"I can only tell you that I would like to know that too." Something must have gone wrong when programming Rubink. I have no idea |
where did this word appear in Rubink's dictionary and he uses it so often. I wonder if this is an accident, but what else could have happened? |
Next day. |
The owner of A087 around the south came to Agent Ratta in the matter of Rubink. |
- Hi, Ratta, listen, we talked about Rubink's case, but what about the R2 vehicle? Will I pay a thousand jelars for a month? |
- Well, we can do that, but remember that R2 and Rubinek are Janil's secret projects that only authorized people know about and he also has |
stay. |
- Yes of course. I can pay in advance for the whole month. |
- Ruby is in the next room and R2 is in the underground garage. |
- I also wanted to ask, in case of equipment damage, should we return the money? |
- You know why I like this business, because in the case of Rubink and R2 there is no damage. Would you like to talk to |
Ruby before you hit the road? |
- Yes, I will gladly check his intellect and meet him. |
The owner of A087 together with Agent Rattha entered the room where Rubinek drove. |
- Good morning, you can call me Mike, I command agency A087. |
- Good morning, I'm Rubinek. |
- Can you surprise me with something? |
- You trust Agent Ratcie in the dark. I saw you came on foot. I also knew that you had not exchanged a word with him before |
R2. You just knew Agent Ratt would let you borrow R2. |
- Nice start now tell me what is equal to one thousand seven hundred fifty seven times two thousand three hundred eighty six. |
Rubinek answered after about two seconds: |
- Four million one hundred ninety two thousand two hundred two. Nymby'm aware of it, you won't surprise me. |
- Another question: what does "Nymby" mean? |
- You quickly found a question that Nymby won't answer. It's a secret ... |
Later. |
In the afternoon after the R2 ride, the owner of A087 took Rubink to his headquarters. He introduced him to the employees and made him an obstacle course out of cartons and |
various wastes. When an element was too high to jump for Rubink, it ran over the surface of its wall, or used a laser. |
When the owner of A087 finished his work, he said to Rubink: |
- What would you say if I took you home? |
- In the current situation I am temporarily the property of the plant and not your property. If you did this, Nymby would, you would break the contract you signed with |
Agent Rattą. Maybe, so I'll be better if I stay at this facility overnight and you take your family to the agency the next day. |
Because you own the building and are involved in various missions and projects, Nymby's could agree to this action. Nymby'm |
he explained it to you briefly and concisely, so what do you think? |
- It's me, er ... I'll take a picture of you and later do what you suggested. |
The man left without a word and drove away. He thought about something when he was far from the agency. He wondered if he would leave Rubink |
at the agency without supervision was not hasty. He decided, however, that in the event of some disturbing behavior by Rubink, the guards would react, but then |
there was a problem that began to harass him. Well, Mike was terrified of what Rubinek can do and what people can do. He thought that |
Janil's creation of such a powerful machine was reckless. After all, man has rather no control over Rubink. Fear to think |
what could happen if something would change in it and become the evil one. With his amazing weapon, he could eliminate even all of them |
living organisms all over the planet. Mike was thinking about whether or not he could be stopped in such a situation. In the evening when he came back |
home, at dinner, he told his family: |
- Now that we have completed our secret project, I will finally be able to introduce it to you. Our work is the contribution of many people, but if |
eighty percent of my work is about the design and operation of this device. Of course, I didn't fund the project and I didn't |
I obtained raw materials, but everyone loved my project and the effect is really amazing, you have to see it! Part of the money for this invention |
Janil himself intended, but the project itself intends to buy Agent Ratt from us, but I think that someday it will get loud about him and probably |
all agencies from Shtangenhein to the outskirts of Lagadun will spend huge amounts of money to not only allocate a mission to it, but |
just to play with it a little bit. I will take you there tomorrow. For now, a photo on your phone must be enough. I think we will earn a lot on |
all this project, only one thing worries me. When the news of Rubyń spreads everywhere, because we called it so, they will probably say |
only about Janil, only about fucking Janil, you understand! Because he partly paid some money. A few years ago someone had a similar situation. I know, |
what I say, but don't worry about it. |
- It's nothing, and you will certainly get your money. Ruby looks great, we'll watch it tomorrow. |
That night, Mike had trouble sleeping. He saw visions of the apocalypse with Rubink, saw what he could go wrong the next day, during |
Rubinka presentation. In his dream Janil also sued him for lying about the project. Unable to sleep any longer, he decided to go to |
car before six and go to Rubinka. When the guards saw him, they seemed surprised at the time of his arrival. |
- How is Rubinek? Mike asked. |
- Moving around the base. When we locked him in one room, he burned the hinges with a laser. |
- Where is he now? |
- I do not know. |
- Who the hell knows?! |
Then Rubinek arrived and announced: |
- You shouldn't work on a security system. This building can be accessed from almost every side. I see at least seven |
ways to break into the command center. Should I replace them now? |
- Not now, I run this agency for five years and so far I have not had any problems with burglaries in my office ... until the time when |
you appeared! I couldn't sleep because of you at night! |
- Nymby wanted me to come here. Don't be intelligent now. |
- What did you do all night? |
"I hacked your computer and finished the hangar expansion project for vehicles." |
- I'm sorry, but are you kidding me now?! Who the hell told you about this project?! |
- Nymby dared not joke now. |
- Who the hell told you about this project?! |
- Nymby learned himself and thanks to that I learned to work with a computer. |
Mike turned on the computer. |
- How much time did you sit there? |
- I don't know, maybe a dozen or so minutes ... |
- This project is boring. I miss the white color. Two shades of gray are a bit too little for such a large building fragment, but how |
You dare you?! Without my permission ?! |
Mike was angry at Rubink for not asking him for permission and pleased with his work, though he showed no gratitude. That's why now without |
for this reason he pointed out various details that did not bother him. Rubinek had different people's behavior programmed in, so |
he quickly decoded Mike's behavior and ... said it aloud, and finally asked if he should add white accents. After all the conversation, Mike |
he was embarrassed about Rubink's case. He was afraid to present him to his family. He was not only worried about causing an accident, |
using his weapon, but also that he can just cause him shame. Mike went to him and asked him: |
- Listen, could you say a little bit how ...? It's about me and my friends ... |
- Nymby'm know what you mean - Rubinek interrupted Mike - so whether you want to lie to your friends or your family and say |
them, that without you, I wouldn't be and you ' re my designer, right? |
- Yes, listen, could we get along somehow? |
"You recently yelled at me for something I helped you with." The project met the description contained in the text document. Now, you want me to help you |
in deception? |
- I'm asking you ... |
"I forgive you, Mike, but it's not a matter of it." I don't get involved in this type of fraud, unless it's necessary for me to graduate |
missions. So even if there were no conflicts with the project, Nymby would not agree. |
- Even if it offers something in return? |
- Even so. I hate corruption, and what else do you have to offer? |
- Some secret message, participating in the mission ... |
"The time will come for the mission, and if I need some information, I'll find a way to get it out of you." |
Mike left without a word. Now the first thoughts appeared in his head, prompting him to somehow play on Rubinku. He thought that |
everything will end in a strong conflict between them. Because he could do nothing in retaliation, he felt unfulfilled. Mike about Rubink |
thought what most people think. He regarded him more as a rational being than a robot. According to him under a thick layer of granite shell |
Hastelate was not a hard disk, just something more. Despite the fact that Mike was impressed by Rubink, a strong feeling arose in him |
dislike of him. He wanted to find an excuse, but it turned out that his family would come to him using public transport, about which |
found out on the phone. He had twenty minutes to get everything to normal. Voluntarily asked employees with whom he had |
good relations, so that they confirm his theory regarding the Rubink project. There was, however, one studio that worked a lot with Janil. He |
not only did he not agree, but he said he would do everything to make people know the truth. After some time, he gave up. She must have had him at |
the gun barrel that Mike had put in his head would help. Mike was bothered by the fact that Rubinek would not lie to him and Mike to none |
the way couldn't make him do it. He could still try to shoot him with a firearm, but he knew that only a real idiot was aiming at |
ordinary pistol for a thick coating of hastelate granite, and even more so because the side effect of such action may be to hit the same |
each other. Mike decided to explain to his family the reluctance of Rubink to participate in his lie as a program error. In his opinion it was |
the only right solution to this problem. |
Not long after |
Mike's wife and son got there. |
- Nice to meet you, my name is Rubinek. |
Mike's family welcomed Rubinka. His son asked Rubinka: |
- Is Rubinek your only nickname? |
- Nymby also called: Rubinian-Nymbinian, Rubinstein and Robot-Chrobot. This is what I think were the coolest nicknames they gave in |
Duplicity. There were, however, those not cool, such as the curses of jealous people. |
- Have you been in Duplicate? |
- Yes, Duplicity is one of my homes and ... |
Then Mike cut in: |
- Janil himself participated in the whole project. He even partly financed the production of Rubink. |
"I came up with a new nickname for you," said Mike's son. |
- I'd love to listen. |
- Nymbot. |
- You can talk to me like that, I like ... |
- What does "Nymby" mean? |
- Sorry, I can't tell you, but you can ask a different question. |
- Have you watched a movie? |
- Not that I have my eyes in front of the TV, but if you ask me about any asshole or terrestrial movie, I will know everything about it |
know about him. Will you question me |
- Another time, because I think it's not the end of our relationship. |
- Do you feel pain? |
- My hastelate granite armor protects me from everything. |
"Is it even possible that something hurt you?" |
- Hard to say. Maybe I have some nervous system, but if I felt something, my inside would have to be damaged, and it's difficult, |
but only my brilliant creator knows that. |
Mike smiled at his wife and said: |
- Polite for a scouting robot ... |
Then Rubinek continued: |
- Janil created me in the image of vimell rats living near the equatorial forests of Wanduvia ... |
"Ruby-Nymbinian," Mike interjected, "don't let Janil deal with it." You should respect me more for your maker. |
- Don't worry, Mike, you are not the first, many people have claimed the characteristics of great personalities ... |
- Where did it come from? Janil helped, it's true. I would not like to express it badly, but I think that during tests in the laboratory, Janil in |
somehow it helped you say so about him. I mean, he reprogrammed you. If you owe Janil so much, now |
prove to me that he created you. |
- Nymby'm able to give you advice ... if you have a problem in your life, or have some important conversation with someone, make a recording just like |
I. I am not a moving TV, so I don't have a screen on, but I only have the sound. The picture, however, is not lost, I can |
activate it later on your computer. It is estimated that I can record twelve days without interruption. If I recorded one hundred and forty-four |
hours of events, it means that I should lose them to the computer ... I will immediately turn on the recording, I need to find the right moment. For now |
I recorded thirty-nine minnut events in this area to have memories. Of these thirty-nine minutes, Nymby eagerly doesn't |
he remembered, but I have to remember because it is evidence of a lie of a person whom I recently considered a decent man. Shame on you Mike! |
Rubinek stood still and turned on the recording: |
"The time will come for the mission, and if I need some information, I'll find a way to get it out of you." |
The recording has ended. |
"Do you have something to say, Mike?" - Rubinek asked - And you believe it? I can show it all again on the computer, along with the image. |
"Mike, did you have any part in this at all?" - wife asked Mike. |
- I supervised programming ... |
"If that were the case, you wouldn't want to force Rubink to lie." I just wanted to test your loyalty and I was disappointed ... not the first time. No |
that I would be very angry with you, but more disappointed, but from the very beginning I expected you to lie, but not |
you can plead guilty! |
- I'm sorry, I thought you would believe and appreciate me more, but it didn't work out because of this fucking Janil and his rat! |
- Listen, Mike, don't shout like that, everyone can hear us. |
- We need to fix something, there is a soundproof room in this building. |
"I won't be unwelcome, will I be allowed in?" |
"I own the damn building, so I know that better than you!" |
Mike took his wife inside the building. Rubinek was left alone with Mike's son. |
"I don't understand why my dad lied, he shouldn't do it." |
"Even I can't understand many things." My psychological analysis shows that your dad wanted you to consider him a genius. Well, |
I wanted you to live a lie. Don't worry, Mum and Dad will get along. Maybe you want us to have some races? I can |
give one twentieth to give you the forums. |
- I don't know if it makes sense and you'll always be better than me. |
During Rubink's conversation with the boy, it is not known where the A087 employee appeared from. |
- Will we play endurance, Rubin? |
- I don't know such fun. |
- Look at that. |
The man pulled out a firearm. |
- Do not do this! |
The man disobeyed Rubink and fired at his body, which resulted in the bullet bouncing and slowly sliding off the bulletproof |
wall of the building. |
- Have you ever thought about it? You could have hit the boy! |
"And very well, did you cover him with an invisible cover?" |
When the man began to aim at the boy, Rubinek electrocuted him, and he fell on his back, then began to shake and moan. |
"Don't worry," Rubinek said to the boy, "you'll be fine." |
When the shaking man began to reach with his left hand for the pistol, which lay next to his right leg, Rubinek suggested to the little boy to |
turn toward the wall of the building. A circular chainsaw blade emerged from its back. Rubinek turned to his right side, |
then began cutting the man's leg with a saw. He started doing it from the Achilles tendon, and then did it along the ankle. The man |
screamed unbelievably, and blood fountains spurted onto the floor. After all Rubinek said to the man: |
- I think I taught you a lesson. |
After all, for safety, he paralyzed him for several hours. Rubinek said to the boy: |
- I had to protect you. It may sound a little gruesome, but I didn't soil you a bit? |
The boy did not know how to answer. He examined his hands. They were clean. |
- Because I could use a bath. |
The boy looked at Rubink, then saw a paralyzed man and a pool of blood. Then he fainted, fell on the wall and slowly |
slipped off it. |
Chapter 2. Accident on the highway. |
Rubinek went to the medical ward in building A087 as soon as possible. To the doctors staying there, he said: |
- There was an accident near the building. A boy about eight years old fell over and hit his head against the wall of the building. There is a suspicion of |
mild concussion. The boy lost consciousness. This happened in exceptional circumstances. I was guarding this boy, and then |
a man appeared ... probably one of the employees. He aimed at the boy with the gun. When I was able to temporarily paralyze a man, a |
boy who probably hadn't had contact with such dangerous situations before, reacted in this way ... |
About 15 minutes later. |
Rubinek met Mike in the hallway. |
- It's good that Nymby'm seen you, I have a message I need to give you. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. It's about your son, |
he had an accident. One man aimed a gun at him, # I paralyzed him. Your son got scared, it's normal, he fell over the |
wall and fainted. He will be fine. |
- No, it wasn't like that, I know it wasn't! You wanted to play me because I wanted to get you into a scam, did you? We'll check right away |
if you're as indestructible as you were told. We'll check if it's the same with you as with the Titanic. We will burn your wires ... |
Mike said it with clear satisfaction. Rubinek said, |
"I have proof." |
- Show me. |
- You don't want to see your son's condition first? |
"Don't you want to distract me that way?" |
- Mike, I would also like your wife to know about the incident. Where she is? |
- He's probably looking for me in the main corridor ... |
- They wouldn't let her in there. Are, |
so four options, and after calculating the probability only two: women's toilet and soundproof room in which there is nothing. |
Rubinek drove towards the side entrance, and Mike ran after him. After a while Rubinek found Mike's crying wife sitting in a corner of the |
soundproof room. |
- What happened? He beat you, right? |
- Yes, I'm fine, but I didn't know he was. |
"I'd like to do something to stop you worrying, but I'm not sure what to do." Maybe you can tell me what to do and talk to |
him, right? |
Rubinek found Mike in the hospital ward. His son had already regained consciousness. Rubinek turned to him and asked him: |
- Do you remember something? |
The boy shook his head from side to side. Rubinek turned to Mike. |
- Mike, we can talk in private. |
Rubinek led Mike to the back room. |
- I know everything you did ... maybe not your past offenses, if they were, and I dare suppose it is ... There is just a |
saying. |
- You're honest with pain. |
- And you are a mean liar. Tell me now why you beat her? Because she was right? |
"It took me a bit, but I didn't hurt her, so why are you harassing me?" |
- Your wife is afraid of you, Mike. This is nothing to be proud of. I will add that your every word and what you do can be used |
against you. I was disappointed, I thought you were not like that. I was counting on someone like Agent Ratt, but I was disappointed. You didn't act |
like a law enforcement officer, only a mafia member. |
"I've already told you that I'm just the owner of this building, and besides, since you know what people have in their minds, why did you agree to |
let me take you to this building." |
- I don't read my mind, you stupid thing. Nymby only knew about lies that could be detected by checking physiological responses. |
I work like a polygraph. |
- Can you finally show me the recording? |
- Maybe after watching him finally start to respect me. Though honestly Nymby doubted it. |
Rubinek drove up the vertical wall of the desk onto its surface, where a hose slid out of its housing and entered a suitable place on the |
computer. Another, similar tool, pressed the keys on the keyboard, moving the location of the recording displayed on the screen: |
- Are we going to play endurance, Ruby? |
- Nymby wasn't familiar with such fun. |
Rubinek stopped the recording and said: |
- It probably is enough to make you realize something ... |
- He was just joking. He always had that sense of humor, he wouldn't do anything to my son, but you could kill him! Besides, how can you |
infer whether it was ironic or not because you don't know this man! |
"Forgive me, but I must tell you that you are pathetic." |
Mike, without directing any question to Rubink, turned the recording on: |
When the shaking man began to reach with his left hand for the pistol that lay next to his right leg, Rubinek suggested to the little boy to |
turn toward the wall of the building.
- You exaggerated ... Rubinku - Mike started laughing out loud - I admit that from the beginning I wanted to carry out a strength test on you |
using various dangerous means, but my conscience told me that you had not upset me to the point that I had to |
apply these measures. I was too forgiving. Now he will prove to you and Janil that Hastelian Granite is destructible. Using the |
right means, I will melt you into boiling liquid and taking revenge on Janil, I will strip him naked and pour this boiling liquid straight onto his |
balls in front of the camera ! |
Nymby laughed, very funny. You only missed one thing. The point is, Nymby was an informant to Janil and Agent |
Ratta and Smudge. They'll find out everything ... |
- Since you're indestructible, how did Janil manage to make Hastelinate Granite? I wonder ... |
- You are very boring and monotonous! |
- Unfortunately for you (NMB), I haven't programmed the phone number for several people yet. I will finish you off without contacting them. If you found |
Smudge's cat, he would probably order you to shut you up, but you found me and you're trying to upset me. I think if |
you were intelligent, after seeing the material with what I did with your colleague, you should have stopped. |
Mike took the gun and shot at Rubinka. The bullet bounced off his body and hit the alarm bell. |
- You are working against me and I record everything. Because you unknowingly turned on the alarm bell with a fired projectile, you |
evacuated dozens of innocent people in this way. This means that I can now blow up the room in the |
building of my choice . I will do it only in retaliation for an inept attempt to shoot me. I will mention that you saw the recording yourself. Your colleague also tried to |
do the same, but it also did not work out. |
- Listen, maybe now I'll take something with the tools ... |
Mike took a hammer and threw his sharp side at Rubink's body. This caused a lot of noise. |
"You don't hurt me," Rubinek said. |
Mike pulled out the chainsaw, turned it on and first touched Rubink with it, and then tried to damage it with more |
force. This did not bring, however, the results he expected. |
- Time to test fire. |
- You can't melt my guts. Hastelate granite is not a good heat conductor. |
- Follow me ... I will lead you to the kitchen. |
Mike opened the oven and quickly put Rubinka there, then closed the lid. Rubinek very quickly, however, melted the glass housing |
with a laser, then a hook slipped from its chassis. Rubinek grabbed Mike's leg and pulled him toward the oven. Then he |
said: |
- It's your turn. |
When Mike got close to the oven, he began to moan because of the high temperature. Rubinek showed, however, pity Mike, he unhooked the |
hook and let him turn off the oven. Mike grabbed Rubink and threw him all the way down the corridor. Then he led him to the bathroom. |
"Do you know why I let you experiment with me?" |
- Because you are stupid and trust everyone? |
"Because I know that nothing will happen to me and I want you to know the truth." |
Mike began pouring water into the tub. |
"Short circuit, Nymby, short circuit ..." Mike heard it and thought it was Rubink's system warning of short circuit. |
Rubinek, however, nothing happened when he was in the water. There was no short circuit, and its body did not turn out to be |
leaky. Mike said: |
"I will try until I and my people organize an audition for you." I may have to kill some innocent person to get |
information from you ... |
Mike started laughing out loud. When he reached for Rubink with his hand and grabbed his back, something completely different now has happened. |
This time Rubin did not resist and began to cut Mike's hand with a saw, and his dark red blood, flowing into the water |
quickly changed the color of the liquid. Of course, Mike shouted loudly and the people who were evacuated did not know what was going on inside the |
building. Rubinek said, |
"Nymby didn't think you would just be a bad man." Maybe you are all bad. Tell me if you give up now because I'm sorry, |
but I think you can see who has no chance with whom. I will now go to Agent Ratta and report to him. |
Rubinek jumped out of the bathtub and slowly got out of the bathtub and slowly left the building. Outside, he met Mike's wife, who asked him what |
was going on in the building and what happened to her son. Rubinek explained: |
- Your son had an accident outside. He was attacked by one of the employees that I rendered harmless. The boy fainted in fear and hit |
his head against the wall of the building, but luckily he was fine, and as for Mike, he did not like that I protected your son |
from the employee who was aiming at him with a gun. Mike says it's a joke. Now he is trying to destroy me using various tools. |
According to my database, he is not mentally stable and does not behave normally. At one point he cut his palm with a power saw, |
trying to cut me with it. |
- I don't know what got into him ... |
Rubin intentionally lied about the power saw to avoid some complications. Also, he knew Mike's wife would trust him because he |
would believe the robot was telling the truth. Then Mike ran out of the building, with a bottle of oil and a lighter. He shouted numerous insults. The oil bottle was |
dirty and slippery through Mike's still bleeding hand. When Mike ran closer, he poured oil on Rubink and immediately set fire to it. Rubinek, however, |
using an air blower that he had programmed in his body, got out of trouble. Mike quickly ran to his |
car and pulled a wheel over Rubink. This one, however, fired one mine from under its tail, and as a result the car rolled over to the roof and |
was slightly damaged. Rubinek quickly approached Mike's terrified wife and her son and said to them: |
- Don't worry, he'll be fine. Nymby knew what I was doing, I will get him out of there soon. He got a sudden panic attack. He'll get over it |
soon. |
Rubinek gently slit the car door. Mike came out slightly battered, but nothing else happened to him. |
- Nymby had to do it. You could set someone on fire, it was dangerous. |
Mike said nothing to Rubink, only ran to the garage after R2, but he failed to escape because it was the car that Rubinek |
had a connection with, so he blocked access to it. Mike ran to one of the employees and said: |
"I need a car for a few hours." I will give you a wallet instead. |
Mike's friend pulled the keys out of his pocket and said, |
"Just try to give them back before 7pm." |
- Yes of course. |
Mike got into the car, and Rubinek drove toward him and said: |
- Look out, I will be aiming you for some time. You will be under observation. I will report all your offenses to Janil and |
Agent Rattta. I will also inform them about your failed attempts to damage me. |
Mike left the building without a word, and Rubinek followed him all the time, but Rubinek bursting centrally behind his car, or |
sometimes under him, was not observable by Mike in the mirrors. It was only when Mike entered the highway that he noticed Rubink |
at the left door of the car. |
"I'll tell you a secret," said Mike, "I'm going to kill someone." |
Rubinek drove into the back of Mike's car without a word, where he began to unwind the cable and attached it to the bumper. At one point, Mike felt he |
couldn't accelerate any further. In addition, he felt a force push him in the opposite direction. This strength was, of course, Rubinek, |
who, despite his small weight, was faster than the car and acted on it with sufficient force. Over time, Rubinek managed to tow |
Mike's car to the side of the road. At one point, Mike lost his patience, got out of the car and shouted at Rubink: |
- Can you finally fuck off me and my life ?! |
- According to my software, you are potentially dangerous. I must protect your wife and your son from you now. See |
what you led to ?! |
Rubinek disconnected the cable and rode towards Mike, who took advantage of it and hit Rubink on the rear wheel of the car. Rubinek, began cutting the |
wheel with his saw. |
- It wasn't my car. You and Janil will pay damn it! |
- Nymby'm informed you that the nearest workshop is approximately three kilometers from here. |
Mike got in the car and decided to go on, but he was not doing well. He did not feel stable on the damaged wheel. Mike |
felt harassed by Rubink all the time . He said to him to upset him: |
- I promise you that I will kill an innocent person soon, but only to play on you. |
- Nymby'm forgot to convey that damaged cars are going to the hall. |
Rubinek began to pull the line again. He pinned her to the rear bumper and turned back at the side of the road, so as to lead Mike backwards |
. |
"Are we going to the factory to smelt you down?" - mocked Mike - Very happy ... but first I will cut the line. |
This time Mike didn't care much about what Rubinek does, he just decided to act. He pulled the |
tools out of his hand bag . He tried to cut the rope using shears, but as you can see ineffectively. He tried to use firearms and a |
lighter to damage the rope . Nothing, however, he failed to achieve the results he expected. All he could do now was push the accelerator as hard |
as he could, but it didn't work either. |
"Nymby's power over you," Rubinek said, "Nymby's could do what I like with you and you don't. |
Rubinek began to develop the line further and extended it to the barrier where he could tie it. |
- Nymby could tie you, cut the line and drive away. You would have to go on foot over twenty kilometers, and your |
friend's car would be tethered by the expressway. Think about this. If you promise to be in control of yourself, I will disconnect the line from you |
, but I will continue to watch you closely. |
At one point, Mike no longer had the strength to continue fighting with Rubink. |
"Please," he said exhausted, "leave me alone now." |
Rubinek disconnected the cable and Mike drove away. Rubinek, however, watched him anyway, but this time from a greater distance. At one point, Mike |
stopped at a gas station by the fuel tank. None of those present suspected him of some kind of trick ... except for Rubink, who |
quickly approached him. |
"You wouldn't refuel even though you parked the car by this tank." If you were to refuel, your friend |
would tell you about ninety percent that he could use it when he gave you the keys. |
Mike gave Rubink a lot of insults and indecent words. When Rubinek took a close look at Mike, he noticed clearly that |
he was pouring gas not into the tank but into a vessel. |
- Mike, the jokes are over ... what you do can determine the lives of many people ... including yours. |
Mike looked like he wasn't paying attention to what Rubinek was talking about. When Mike pulled out the lighter, he was immediately paralyzed |
by Rubink. Rubinek entered the building to inform an employee about the whole incident. He knew, however, that he paralyzed |
Mike only slightly, and that maybe in two minutes he would rise. Rubinek almost immediately found a worker inside the |
building and said to him: |
- I am a robot that was commissioned by Janil Dupnicki. I would like to inform you that there is a potentially |
dangerous man in front of this building who intends to use gasoline and fire. My job was to track him down. I have temporarily paralyzed him so far. I |
hope that thanks to my warning I will stop doing it. I'm just reporting, just in case. |
The manager with whom Rubinek talked said nothing. He just went outside. He saw a |
man rising from the ground trying to do something with fuel. |
- What are you trying to do? the man asked Mike. |
"I'm trying to mix pee with gas," Mike replied mockingly, "and now leave me alone because I will use the gun." |
Rubinek pulled up towards Mike, unrolled the rope, hooked it to his clothing ... and skin, and then began to drag him over the rough |
asphalt. Mike started screaming now. |
"May you promise that you will not touch anyone anymore, except for the one who brutally attacks innocent people ?!" |
- Let me go! |
- May you promise to obey ?! |
- This is crazy! Who the hell are you ?! I am to obey a robot over which man has no power ?! The works were created to |
obey man! |
- Nymby I knew who I obey. Well, I obey Janil, Agent Rata, Smudge, RSSoJM agents and those who work with |
them. |
The gas station employees did not hide their surprise when observing this unusual situation. |
"I'll be a good man," said Mike, "I'm just begging you, please damn me!" |
Rubinek detached the hook from Mike's body, and a trickle of dark red blood flowed out from under his clothes. Mike put his hands on the asphalt and tried to |
get up, while Rubinek watched his every move. Mike sat in the driver's seat of the car he rented from a friend a few hours ago. |
- How much time will you follow me? Mike asked Rubink in a somewhat calmer and tolerant voice. |
"It depends," answered Rubinek, "you were fooling around, but you could really hurt somebody ... your behavior from a few minutes ago is certainly not appropriate |
for a person who works for such an important organization. |
"Wait, Nymby, did you say the last few minutes? ... counted it ?!" |
At this point, Mike did something no one could have foreseen. Still staggering, he reached for a bottle from behind his |
seat and poured the contents of that bottle on one of the men through the glass, then threw a lighter at him. The man immediately |
began to burn. It was only a moment. When Mike crashed into this man, the car he was driving caught on fire, and when he pulled into |
a roadside tanker, everything went into smoke. |
Chapter 3. Investigation. |
Rubinek had little time to react. With the help of a laser he cut the body of the car from which Mike's stationary body fell out. What |
Mike had recently done certainly did not put him in good standing, but on the other hand this man had a family. Let's add that Rubinek |
suspected that his behavior might have been influenced by the use of some drug. In this situation, Rubinek decided to do everything to |
save him . Everything, however, indicated that all attempts to save him did not make sense, however, because it was clear what had happened to him. If |
someone went deeper into the smoke, he could notice an even more massacred body that belonged to a man set on fire and hit by |
Mike. Rubinek now wondered if he was at fault. He was sure that if he had acted earlier such a drama would not have happened, |
but did he do something wrong? He controlled Mike all the time, because he seemed suspicious to him, and his unnatural behavior indicated that |
he might have taken some drug that affected him badly. He didn't know how to explain it to himself, because when he first met |
Mike, he looked like a friendly man. Perhaps because of this and because he had a family, Rubinek wanted to |
save him after all . He would then have to be taken and interrogated by Agent Ratta. There was one more issue to consider Rubinek, if he had lied |
and confirmed Mike's point of view, wouldn't such a thing have happened? It was hard to define. First of all, the fact that Mike seemed to be lying, definitely |
influenced his behavior, but whether sooner or later Mike's wife would not realize that Mike was lying, and besides Mike in the near |
future would certainly have some reason to get angry and a similar incident could occur. Did Rubinek consider all possible |
events or did he just try to console himself? If it hadn't appeared in A087 at all, would everything have ended well? Rubinek thought he |
couldn't think that visiting A087 was his fault. It was just the usual deal between Mike and Agent Rattha. All they could do was |
contact Agent Ratta first. He didn't write the number to it, but he could have used the internet ... but when? After |
all, Rubinek had to protect everyone from Mike all the time, and besides, how was he supposed to know how it would all end? One more |
problem remained , how is this message to be sent to Mike's family. During the return journey, he decided to stop to connect to the internet and |
call Agent Ratty: |
"Nymby'm not sure what to do," Rubinek said helplessly. |
- What happened? |
- There have been real tragedies in the A087 building recently. At first, Mike shouted at me for the job properly done. Later |
he tried to lie to his family and tell her that he designed me. When a friend from Mike's work shot in my direction, |
and later, when he began to aim at Mike's eight-year-old son, I had to act as soon as possible. I think he didn't really want to shoot him |
but to provoke me. Under the influence of nerves, the little boy felt ill, and then he fell on the wall and fainted. Don't worry, nothing happened to him |
. In the meantime Mike quarreled with his wife and beat her. When I showed Mike the recording where I paralyzed the man |
attacking his son, this idiot did not care at all, just got upset that I paralyzed his friend who was just joking and |
said that it was probably because of me that his son fainted. This is not the end, we quarreled and Mike tried to destroy me. He tried to do it |
with pistols, an oven and water, among others. Because it didn't hurt me at all, I decided to demonstrate to Mike that nothing would happen to me |
. Later he became even more aggressive and completely lost control. He decided to run away with |
his friend's car , but he had already announced for a long time that he was going to kill some random person. Nymby decided to follow him and watch him. When Mike |
arrived at the gas station. When I noticed that he began to pour fuel into a container and reach for the lighter, I |
paralyzed it without hesitation and forwarded the message to the station employee. When we came back it was too late. The last strength he got up, then poured gasoline |
and set fire to the man, later, he hit him with a car, which also burst into flames and hit the tank. None of them survived. |
There was no point in calling an ambulance because there was nothing to save. |
- I feel sorry for you to participate in something like that. You don't know, maybe Mike wasn't using any drugs? |
"I suspected him, but the internet doesn't tell me anything." I have an idea, maybe I'll wait for you and you will come to me. The fire brigade |
is already in place and the rest of the staff have been evacuated in time. |
- I'm waiting in the car for Rattina Sino at the police station. My indicator shows me your location. It'll take me about |
twenty minutes to get to you . |
Later. |
Agent Ratt arrived: |
"Twenty-six minutes, faster, but I had to inform Rattina Sino and send messages to Piastus and Janil." They are to report to the |
rest. |
"Nymby didn't know what to say to his family now." |
- Don't worry, it's not your fault. |
- Nymby owned a recording. |
- Good, because in this situation the recording would be useful ... |
- Mike's body is on the side of the road. |
"An autopsy will have to be done, but I'm afraid we won't detect anything." Some drugs cease to be visible at high |
temperatures, and in this case the blood is cut ... |
- Nymby had an idea. I still have Mike's intact sample. When Mike was behaving dangerously to the environment, I had to cut him with a blade. |
His blood still remained on the blade because Nymby forgot to clean it. |
- So all is not lost. |
"I've got two people on the blade." Also that employee. It will have to be separated. |
"What if that employee took a drug and you and the blade gave him a drug?" |
"I doubt Mike had started acting so aggressive before." |
- I preferred to ask. |
- You can help me drag him into the trunk. |
- Sure. |
Later, at A087. |
Agent Ratt took blood from Rubink's blade. |
"I think it can be isolated somehow," Agent Ratta said. |
When Agent Ratta looked at the blood under a microscope, he said: |
"These are two different groups, as you said ... I found a strange substance." There is quite a lot of it. At least one of them must have taken |
some strange measure. Where's the other man? |
- Nymby dragged him to the back room. He wouldn't get out of there alone. |
Rubinek brought employee A087 into the room. The man was still. |
- What happened to him? Agent Ratt asked. |
- Maybe Nymby's too paralyzed? Maybe let's give him some measure that will help him? |
- I have an idea. |
A few minutes after being struck by special rays, the man began to make movements, but failed to make contact with him. |
"Well, it's for nothing," Agent Ratta said, "the polygraph test has lost its meaning. A polygraph is a very useful device for interviews, but |
only if the interviewee understands the questions asked. |
- Let's examine his blood sample separately. |
- Good idea. |
The results of a man's blood test showed a large amount of the mysterious substance. Agent Ratt and Rubinek were to investigate ... but |
the phone interrupted them. Agent Ratt picked up. He heard a voice: |
"It's me, Peter, I'm coming back from Laskin today." I received news of what happened to you. I feel sorry for you, you probably have a lot of |
problems on your mind right now . I thought I would come to you and help you a little bit. |
- Thanks, Pete. |
- I'll be there in about two hours. |
After the conversation, Agent Ratta said to Rubink: |
- Ratta Sino will soon return to the command and report everything and order them to search Mike's house. He could call each of them, but I |
do n't have time, this matter is more important, but I will now ask Rata Sino. Agent Ratt called: |
- And how? |
"Sam sent four people, and I sent four rats: Louis Pyreaux, Dan Cocoanut, Paul Buttercakebiter and Rod Entie." |
"Maybe I'd better come to them and help them search the house?" |
- Do what you think. |
- OK, I'll go there. |
- Do you know where it is exactly? |
- Yes, near the forest at number A37, right? |
- That's right, I'll report everything to everyone. |
When Agent Ratta finished talking, Rubinek said: |
- Maybe I went with you? |
- Rubin will be easier with you. |
- No problem. So how do we go to my bigger friend? |
- R2. |
- Has many nicknames: R2, Rubin XL, (or Rubinek XXXL) or Amber. |
The ride took Rubinek and Ratcie about fifteen minutes. When they arrived, they met with four people and four rats who |
had just arrived. Rubinek said: |
- Nymby'am welcomed you all. Do any of you have a special predisposition to search for drugs? |
"We've been trained in this matter," Dan said. |
- Nymby knew that the Gambian big rats have a special talent in looking for mines, but Nymby has not heard of rats that |
specialize in drug search. |
- And what race are you a rat? |
- Nymby was an android vimell rat, slightly different from those found in the tropical forests of Wanduvia. |
After a short conversation, the whole team decided to break the door and enter the building. Rats observed the area near the ground. |
"He wouldn't keep anything in the living room," said Rubinek. |
"Everything is to be expected," Agent Ratta replied, "but you're right, the probability is relatively low." We will question |
Mike's wife, but how will it recover after this tragic event. |
At one point, Rod Entie turned to Rubink: |
- Can you x-ray the walls? |
"Nymby had a laser," Rubinek replied, "but not so ... |
" "You need to get the largest furniture out of the house," Agent Ratta said. |
- We shouldn't damage objects in this house. After all, the majority of its tenants are still alive. |
- The human part of the crew will help us ... |
Some forty minutes passed and the house seemed to be searched. Then Rubinek said: |
- We should also check the attic. |
- Attic? |
"If he's in this house ... |
" Nymby saw the sloping roof, but no windows. Let's not search the garden either. |
- So what are we doing? |
- We are looking for the attic entrance ... |
Soon after, the whole team found a mysterious shape on the ceiling in the bedroom. This mysterious shape turned out to be the attic entrance. What's |
interesting Rubinkowi as the first able to get to the attic. He got there, climbing the surface of the wall. At the very top, Rubinek |
laid out the ladder lying there for the rest of the team, because no one from the team except Rubin would get into the attic without any help. |
"Nymby was suspicious," Rubink's voice echoed around the room. |
When the rest of the crew also got into the attic, due to the lack of windows, lighting was needed, which was useful to switch on, located |
on a wooden wall. Now the whole crew was able to see a dozen or so cardboard boxes in the building, some of them open. The |
boxes contained white powder sacks, marked with dark green inscription: ROXI'S COMPANY. |
"That can't be true," Agent Ratta said firmly. |
- Is this the Roxi? Rubinek looked worried when he asked the question. |
- I think you know the answer to this question well. |
- Nymby'm had seen the logo before, but would Roxi, as a ten-meter mutated beast created for killing, create a drug? |
- It's complicated, but maybe Mike had contact with some employee of ROXI'S COMPANY who would have a strong persuasion for him. |
- If that happened, it would be really disturbing ... |
- You have to start the investigation, pack the goods and go back to headquarters A087, soon Peter will come to us. |
Chapter 4. Mission. |
Later, head office A087. |
Agent Ratt was looking at drug bags. |
"The same as the guy you incapacitated," Ratta said, "this is probably a new invention of ROXI'S COMPANY, I have never seen |
anything like that before." As far as I think, it was supposed to improve physical condition and eliminate body fatigue, but its side effect is a strong |
increase in aggression as well as loss of consciousness. |
- But still Nymby was wondering about this inscription, ROXI'S COMPANY ?! Still, Nymby couldn't believe it was really happening. |
- I also live in strange times. |
- Nymby supposed, however, that it was people who created the drug. Roxi and his dogs, on the other hand, were to be responsible for transferring information |
and, above all, biting. According to specialists, Roxi and perhaps part of his army survived the struggle and explosion of the |
old ROXI'S COMPANY headquarters in Khonehoness, southern Shtangenhein. Now they can hang around somewhere between Roxon and Lagadun. |
- Recently, our agencies have widely publicized the finding of a satellite in the desert of Loghothann, Wanduvia. Big black jerks ran between the |
rocks after they came out of the underworld. It could have been Roxi, especially since before the explosion it was said that he probably liked Wanduvia and left |
his country. Wanduvia is a very exotic continent. There is both a desert and exotic forests, there is a large ocean, but also |
metropolises in terms of technology. In Roxon, as you know, there is fog during the day and only the moon can be seen at night, or the eyes of the |
murderers trained by Roxi at night . Roxi has blocked the entrance to Roxon with a huge barricade, but a few years ago he left this barren continent, |
they say that nothing is happening there, it is full of ruins of various buildings, but in fact no one has the courage to go there. Recently, in my |
head I do not know where the idea came to search for Roxi, and then weaken him and bring him for interrogation. |
- Nymby was eager to perform in this mission. |
- Not so fast, you need to determine how Mike got the drug. |
- Nymby knew that. |
- If you decide to take part in this mission, we will assign you a human assistant, but everything in its time. |
- You won't command me once. It was Nymby who had to decide about world security. Nymby apologized, it sounded a bit arrogant. |
A few minutes later, Peter entered A087. |
- Nymby, welcome you, Peter. |
- Hi Rubinku, I really see you for the first time. Previously, I only saw Janil's conceptual plans, photos ... and videos of you on |
DupTube. |
- Am I really available online anymore? I'll check it out soon ... |
Rubinek, not moving from his place, started searching the DupTube website. |
- Nymby found a video. Nymby'am had eleven thousand five hundred and ninety-one views? They put it in two and a half hours ago. |
Nymby was fourteen hundred and four like and six dislike. What?! Someone thought it was a photo montage? Some driver or passenger recorded how |
I pulled Mike's car. Take a look. First enter: "A mechanical rat is pulling a car on the highway" and see the first |
film from the shore. But honestly, Nymby thought I filmed it better. |
Agent Ratta then showed Peter drug bags. |
"A strange find," said Peter carefully looking at the bags, "I haven't heard of Roxi's Company in a long time." I can even say that |
I was convinced that this company collapsed four years ago with the date of the explosion. For just over a week, I began to believe that Roxi is alive. |
I did not think, however, that his human colleagues also managed to survive. |
- I will also mention that one could have concerns about the date of production of these drugs, but the bag clearly says: |
"produced 04-2006" - added Agent Ratta. |
- Not written, but where the place of production is. |
- Yes, unfortunately this makes the task difficult. |
- What we do? |
"We have to do something, we cannot leave this worrying case unsolved." Must send someone to Wanduvia, where the satellite |
tracked Roxi, this will be the beginning. |
"Nymby's already applied," Rubinek said. |
- Rubinek has already applied, but he needs a human assistant. |
Peter firmly replied: |
- I am an A087 service agent, this is not a high shelf ... |
- I have been your mentor for over a year and I must confess to you that I saw your potential. |
- Thank you for your kind words, now I will finish my speech: I am an agent of the A087 services, this is not a high shelf, |
Janila, DPP, GDC, AAC, WWC get the best orders and of course those working directly for your organization, but I only got to |
A087 small building, which is not loud. In addition, it is poorly guarded. In this organization it is very difficult to get a good, memorable order, which is why |
I can strive for participation in this mission all the more. It would be an honor for me. And for a donation with Rubinek ... me as the first agent working in the |
field with Rubinek! |
"Nymby felt valuable," Rubinek said. |
Then Agent Ratt commented on Peter's statement: |
- We know each other for a long time and I have to tell you that you deserve more than a job in A087, maybe soon I will hire you for my |
own agency, and by then I will tell others about your participation in the mission, which I decided to give the code name: "Hunting for Roxi". |
- Thank you my friend, my dreams are coming true! - Peter didn't hide his satisfaction. |
- Just know that, being an A087 agent, you may not have had the opportunity to return from the mission to the medical department in the base, being all in blood, but |
everything has a price. |
- Once I participated in the mission in East Rurön, we fought terrorists who abducted random people and tried to blow up the |
shopping center, the campaign was successful, but I did not end it. I think we got |
an agent from you during the action . This is definitely the biggest mission I have participated in. During it, I even earned a ball in the right knee ... |
- It's good that although you were in the field, but the results of our research confirm my opinion about you. |
- Thanks, Ratto, but don't you overstate me? |
"I know what I'm saying, Pete, I didn't train you alone." |
- Then why didn't I come to your agency, but to A087? |
- Mike wanted a good agent. Unfortunately, Rubinek was not given the chance to meet Mike at a time when he seemed a decent man who |
had some flaws, but he certainly wouldn't do the same as today. |
- But what will happen to A087 now? |
- Their few agents who were there will make an appointment with Rattina Sino and maybe they will go to our RSS, and the A087 building will act as a warehouse. |
It is also possible that they will go to AAC, but for now, due to unusual circumstances, they must take time off. Fortunately, our |
planet is full of agents. |
- When will our mission take place? |
- It will take a few hours to prepare the equipment and you also need to rest, so I think tomorrow noon would be the right time. What |
do you think about this ? |
- Nymby agreed without hesitation, what about Mike's investigation? |
"Our people will take care of it, and I will question Mike's wife when she gets better." And you Pete? What do you think about the mission date? |
- I thought I would have more time to get used to this mission, but on the other hand I understand that this action must be |
carried out as soon as possible, so I agree without further reflection. |
- Great, so we have an appointment. To be honest, I thought before that it would be a long time before we organize this action. |
- And the vehicle we're going to use? |
- R2. |
- But how do we get it to another continent? |
"You'll board the ship at the port in Blackstone." |
Later Agent Ratta called Ratty Sino: |
"Are you still at work?" Agent Ratt asked. |
- I am extremely long today. I write reports and think that it may even go down to two in the morning. |
- I reported to Rubink and Peter for the planned "Hunting for Roxi" planned for several days. The mission will take place tomorrow. |
- You quickly reported them ... right now, which Peter? |
- With A087, tall, slim dark-haired, athletic, around thirty. |
- I already know who you mean. I sit until late, but I will stay these two extra minutes and write everything in the diary. Greet them from me |
and wish them good luck. |
Later. |
Peter and Rubinek spent the rest of the evening talking to each other and getting to know each other better. In addition, Peter learned to control R2 on the |
track at the A087 headquarters. After a few hours, Peter decided it would be right if he slept before the mission ahead. He could |
not sleep , however, because he was nervous about what would soon happen to him. |
The next day, 9:00. |
After last night, Rubinek and Peter met at the council table at A087. |
"You'll have to pack everything you need," said Peter. |
Nymby was thinking about something. What is your approach to killing? |
- I've never killed anyone. At most, shoot someone in the leg so that he can't escape. If I didn't have to kill someone because |
there would be another way to resolve the situation, of course I wouldn't, but as a last resort ... let's take, for example, such people from Roxi's |
Industries. They are pretty confused in their heads. The only feeling they feel is the satisfaction of killing and bloodlust. Such people |
are not capable of love and do not start any families. If, then, the man at Roxi's Industries would try to kill me and there would be no other |
way, I would kill him. |
- Forgive me, Nymby had to ask, Nymby knew that everything depends on the situation. Nymby was doing everything that was possible to save |
Mike, but I failed. I felt that something bad had happened to him that changed him and I also knew he had a family. I believed that he would |
be able to change him, but unfortunately I could not save him. |
- Ruby, I must tell you that you are extremely clever. Many people say that you are just a machine, but in my opinion you are a |
thinking being , and what do you think about it? |
Nymby didn't know how to answer, but Nymby thanked him for the compliments. Nymby assured you that I am not a device climbing |
something from a hard disk, but a thinking being. One may think that this is only software that speaks for me, but I would like everyone to |
believe that I am a live animal, just like Agent Ratta or Piastus. |
Peter apparently came up with some reason for Rubink at this point. Is it possible that |
Janil locked the memory of an ordinary rat once running in a field in a mechanical housing. However, he did not believe his thoughts and decided that there would be too many complications during |
programming. He only said: |
- How is it possible that you arose? I see you and I am incredulous. I thought that from Janil's concept sketch to your creation, it was a |
long way, and yet ... |
- I owe my rise to Janil, but there is something else you don't know about. |
- And what is that? |
- Sorry, Nymby couldn't tell you. |
- You know, everyone has their own secrets, but I'm wondering about your "Nymby". |
"Nymby's kept it a secret, forgive Pete." |
- I understand, but it's a shame you can't say, because it just makes me wonder. Even if it was what others are talking about, i.e. |
a system error, then, based on what you say, you control what you say, so in this situation it could be either your favorite |
saying, or an advertisement of a company, some product ... I think right? |
- Nymby'm appreciated that you are looking for reasons, but Nymby'm disappointed and apologized. Still no response. |
- I don't know anymore. Tell me at least does Janil know that? |
- He knows it, but he won't tell you. |
- Anyone else? |
- We should pack now. Nymby was grateful for the lack of uncomfortable fur-biting questions. |
Then Agent Ratt came into the room: |
"Don't you think it's time to pack your equipment?" |
"Nymby asked for it about ten seconds ago." |
"One more thing, Rubin," Agent Ratta said, "I forgot to tell you about it, but record everything on a regular basis and after a |
day, send us a movie so that we can archive it." The point is to put all the recordings, because it's very important. |
- OK, that's all right. |
Later. |
When all the necessary items were packed, Peter and Rubinek went outside the building. It was warm and cloudless, and the sun was |
shining strongly . The temperature in the shade was close to twenty degrees Celsius and it was approaching noon. Peter and Rubinek circled the A087 building, |
breathing in fresh air, and Agent Ratt watched them from the terrace. When they reached the door of the R2 vehicle after a few minutes, Agent Ratta |
said kindly: |
"I wish you good luck and a successful mission." Everything indicates that we will not see each other for the next two weeks, but we will stay in |
touch. |
Chapter 5. Hunting for Roxi. |
After entering the interior of R2, Rubinek joked: |
- Do I really look like this inside? Nymby didn't know. |
There were no windows in R2. Special cameras were recording what was happening outside. When Peter got used to the |
specific control of R2 completely, he had a lot of questions to ask Rubinek. Only some of them could answer. |
- You are very mysterious. |
- Nymby had his secrets. |
- We've been going over three hours, it passed quickly, right? |
- Yes, but I wonder how many people have filmed us now. |
- This vehicle is not a chameleon. On the other hand, I prefer a vehicle that catches the eye, but is a solid, not an ordinary car intended for |
urban use, in which, if someone shoots you in the windshield of a machine gun, you lie in a pool of blood. |
- Nymby'm agreed, and besides, this is also my advertisement. Sure, people are quite shocked after I was filmed on this path ... and |
now they see something like that! |
Not counting two meal stops and two visits to the toilet at the service station, Rubinek and Peter rode all the time. |
Around 1am, Peter decided to stop to get some sleep. |
"I'll stay for a few hours," said Peter. "Fortunately, R2 has a comfortable bed." Rubinku, do you sleep at all? |
- Nymby needed to sleep at least once a month for several hours. I think today is the right time. |
Do not mind? |
- No, we're safe. I will arrange a cruise to Wanduvia tomorrow. I can't wait, I've never been there. I |
loved traveling since I was born . If I had a lot of money, I would seek Janil's space ship trip to Earth. I would get along, English is |
one of the basic languages. |
- It would be interesting to visit another planet similar to ours. On the other hand, however, the Earth has many disadvantages, our planet also, but |
it's about something else. Nymby'm well aware of this. Janil wrote a lot of books about it and made a lot of documentaries. Janil |
said he would like to work on this planet. If you have a free evening, read for example "Repair the world" or something |
similar. Unless you've already read. Nymby I'm not lying to you ... I know not. |
"I'd love to read it, but I'm just as happy to sleep now." Surely nothing bad will happen ?! asked Peter anxiously, |
including the dimly lit night lights in the cabin. |
- We have alarm software, and R2 is a very solid construction. Nymby knew what I was doing. It's better for me to sleep now than in |
Wanduvia, where Roxi was supposedly seen, so I think I will take this opportunity, and good night, Pete. |
- Good night, Rubinku. |
The next day, 7:00. |
Peter woke up. He stood up quickly and looked for Rubink with his eyes. After a few seconds he saw it in the camera preview, displayed on the |
inside of R2 door. |
- Hey Rubinku. |
- Hi, Pete. I decided to go for a short walk. |
- Wait, how do you hear me? |
- Nymby's got good hearing. I can hear you, but I can't see you, but I know you're there ... intuition and pure logic. |
- In my case, the R2 interior is well publicized and even too well. At night, I forgot to turn on the mute interior option, which |
woke me up at half past four a drunken fight from a roadside booth. Wait, I'll come see you soon. |
Peter went outside to Rubink. |
- So what are we doing? - He asked. |
- What do you think? |
"We're going further and we'll stop somewhere and have some breakfast." |
After a few minutes, Rubinek and Peter continued their journey. |
Later, the port on the west coast of Rurönu, 19:00. |
At the port bar, Peter asked the reception: |
- When is the next cruise to Wanduvia? |
"At 9pm," said the receptionist, "it's a cruise to Dottons, in the east." |
- Are there any vacancies left? |
- Eleven seats left. |
- What is the price per person? |
- One thousand five hundred jelars. |
- And if I wanted to take a car. |
- Then you have to pay extra that much. For all the details, please go to the neighboring building. At 8pm they close. |
- Thank you and wish you a quiet evening. |
Peter went to the neighboring building. There were no problems with the reservation, but the news that due to the size and weight of R2, he would |
have to pay as much as for two regular cars, did not please him. |
Everything, however, went according to plan and without much difficulty. A quarter to twenty past one a ship arrived at the port, departing |
punctually at twenty-one. In the room on the ship where Rubinek and Peter were, there was no one but them. |
Later. |
Peter turned off the light in the bedroom. |
- How about sending a message to Agent Ratta? suggested Peter. |
- I will send him a movie and delete the recordings from my disk so that there is room for new ones. |
- Nymby had a question. When we get to Wanduvia. |
- We still have about a dozen or so hours of cruise left. We'll be there in the afternoon if everything goes according to plan. We're lucky to |
get one of the fastest cruise ships on this planet. |
- What will we do tomorrow? Will we enter the sports hall and play something? Or maybe we will watch another movie from the album? |
- Will we see Rubin? We can also play cards. |
- Good thought, Pete. Well good night. Nymby went to walk on the ship. Everyone probably is already in their bedrooms, but I would ride |
so that I would not get bored. Do you agree, Pete? |
- Yes of course. Well then, calm march, Rubinek. |
- Thanks. |
When the night was over, Rubinek returned to the room. |
- I have not met anyone - said Rubinek - Fortunately, Nymby broke nothing, because at such a speed, Nymby was a little afraid earlier. |
Rubinek and Peter spent time watching movies and playing various games in the sports hall. It can be said that they got very close to |
each other during these few days . |
Later, around 14:00. |
The ship stopped at a port on the coast of Wanduvia. The sun was shining strong there, but you could also feel the cool breeze. |
- Nymby'm well aware that the more we delve into the desert of Wanduvia, it will get hotter. |
After a short stop, Rubinek and Peter continued their journey. After about thirty minutes, you could see the desert landscape. |
A long expressway led through the whole desert. |
"This is more like the destination of our journey," said Peter. "How many kilometers are we left?" |
- Approximately nine hundred and thirty six. |
- You didn't satisfy me, Ruby. At the beginning I hoped to hear the same "nine". So far it's quite calm in this Wanduvia. For |
most of the road it may seem that this is not a place that some civilization knows, but the only sign that this is not so is the road and |
the gas station that I saw a few kilometers ago. |
After an hour or so, U Rubink and Peter's view of the military base and the free-moving car caused astonishment. Despite the high |
outside temperature, the air conditioning in R2 worked flawlessly. When, however, Rubinek and Peter went outside it was difficult to bear the heat. |
At one point, seeing an abandoned car station, Peter quickly went to the car wash to wash himself. |
- R2 is well equipped, but there is no shower, so I have to combine. |
- Nymby knew that Janil had left space to install the shower, but he had not installed it yet. |
- I'll go there for a moment. The walls are transparent, but the chances of meeting someone are rather small. |
When Peter entered the car wash, Rubinek received a message from Agent Ratta: "The President of the Safe Gadgets Project that he |
works with our agency and A087 demands urgent contact. For unknown reasons, he asks for an immediate photo of Peter. They want |
to be seen on it whole body, from head to toe to make sure that Peter is alive. Sorry to disturb you, but I promised to let you know |
. " Rubinek quickly replied: "No problem", then embarrassed to take a picture. To avoid shame, he decided to take a |
photo from the back. He did not take the picture from the front because he thought that there could be a big scandal in the office of the PBG chairman, and Peter |
could consider him a pervert. |
At the same time, Rouffston - Shtangenhain, meeting room in the PBG meeting room. |
The chairman of PBG was just showing the slides displayed on the wall, on which the man showed modern projects co-created with HTI and |
Agent Ratty. |
"Apart from Rubink, who is currently on the mission," said the man, "you will not find Peter in room A48 who is with him on the mission." |
Unfortunately I forgot his name. I am sorry, I am ashamed, I will go for the agent list or I have a better idea. Maybe |
I'll better show you his picture on the screen. |
The chairman of PBG included the file received by Rubink, without checking its content. After a while he burned with shame. There were also |
loud conversations and laughter. |
A little later, the desert in Wanduvia. |
Rubinek and Peter continued to ride, and Rubinek pretended that nothing had happened and he received no news. |
Around half-past nine, when the sky was already partly immersed in pink, Rubinek and Peter made another stop. |
- Nymby'm estimated that we will reach the designated place tomorrow around noon if we keep driving speed and stop frequency. |
- One thing worries me. I saw drones in the sky that have been hanging around for some time. I can't see them now, but when they come back |
I will let you know. |
"You should have let me know before, I'd shoot them down easily in fifteen seconds." |
- I didn't think. |
- Nothing happened, but think next time. |
"I wanted to say it, but the words got stuck in my throat." I have high hopes for this mission and I don't feel like any failure. |
- Nymby had an idea how to distract drones. |
Rubinek rose into the air about twenty centimeters, and then in the footsteps of his wheels he etched the inscription "NYMBY" on the sand and next he etched the |
arrow where he wrote " |
designated place. For some time, they had to leave the road convenient for driving through the highway and turn towards steep cliffs. |
Near a large rock, Rubinek and Peter found something unusual. At the place of the find, they decided to leave R2. On the ground |
made of sand and rock particles, one could see a torn and bloody, originally white shirt marked with the green inscription "ROXI'S |
COMPANY". Equally important, fragments of human muscles and bone tissue could also be seen around the clothing. Of course, everything was bathed in a |
large pool of blood. |
"I think I know what caused what we see now," said Peter. |
- Nymby'm well aware of this. |
- I have to send a message to Agent Ratta. |
While Peter was sending a message to Agent Ratta, a loud cracking sound was heard coming from the cliffs. |
"I will go to prepare the ammunition in R2," said Peter, "and I will put on a protective suit." |
- Nymby'm knew we should stay in R2. |
- We'll go towards the cliffs. |
Nymby agreed, but only on one condition. I will cover you. |
After a few minutes of preparation, Rubinek and Peter began to circle the area with R2. After a while they heard another bang. They decided to approach the |
place where the noise was coming from. |
"I don't see anything, but now I am convinced it is somewhere," said Peter. |
- Nymby had an idea. Let's enter this canyon, into the hole in this rock. |
Peter without much thought began to drive into the dark recess inside the rock ... maybe, but he went there at too high a speed. After a |
while Rubinek and Peter landed several dozen meters from the entrance to the rock cave. An airbag exploded inside the vehicle, and the |
technology Janil developed did not allow anyone to get hurt. |
- Did you hear his roar? |
- Nymby'm heard. I also saw a piece of his paw on the screen. He probably thinks that he killed us, but he will definitely come back to us and he will try |
to tear us apart and then eat you. It can also deliver us to the headquarters of Roxi's Company. Only Nymby wasn't sure if he had that much |
intelligence. Wait in R2, I will leave, I will pull R2 out of the ground and tow him a bit, and then take care of Roxi. You can also fight him, but |
only with rockets from R2 ... still Nymby couldn't believe that after this accident with R2 nothing happened ... so to attack and Nymby wished |
good luck. |
When Rubinek began to tow away the R2 to the stable ground, he saw a large, black, disgusting and spitting creature. The patches of his skin and |
fur on his face were mixed with his muscles and seemed to be covered with mold. There was something in his eyes that made the looker |
sure that something bad was about to happen. Each time he walked, the earth shook and anxiety grew within a hundred meters. |
At the same time, very powerful, but also vomiting. Yes, it was Roxi. |
Chapter 6. The new face of Rubinka. |
Rubinek released the rocket from his back and guided it towards Roxi. Because Roxi was taking his steps rather slowly, he had no chance to |
escape from Rubink's rocket, but the rocket that hit his paw did not cause Roxi to stop fighting. It was just the opposite. |
The rocket, which left practically no marks on Roxi's body, upset him and at the same time motivated him to fight. At this point, Rubinek |
decided to inform Peter about everything, with whom he contacted, not moving from his place. Peter heard words inside R2 that |
drowned out Roxi's roar every now and then: "Nymby'm fired one rocket, I hit him in the paw, but I don't see the effects except the growing |
aggression. Well, maybe a dozen or so milliliters of blood splattered, but for him nothing. It looks like the rocket only penetrated a piece of his |
skin, which is probably several dozen centimeters long. " |
- I'm joining the fight. |
At first, Peter started firing with a machine-missile launcher, but those for Roxi were nothing. Roxi, roaring every now and then, began to |
grasp R2 with his teeth. At this point, Rubinek and Peter began to worry about the success of the mission. Roxi's attack on R2 attracted the thought of a |
Tyrannosaur attack from the Jurassic Park. It was comforting, however, that the R2 seemed to be a more solid vehicle than the one from Steven |
Spielberg 's film. At this point, Peter fired a solid rocket from R2. This time the effects were more satisfactory. |
Roxi's solid abdominal haemorrhage could be seen , which enveloped the whole area. It seemed that Roxi had fallen from pain and powerlessness on his back, and the blood did not |
stop flowing even for a moment. Then Peter came out of R2 and taking advantage of Roxi's (temporary) inability to fight and began to |
shoot him with a machine gun instead of being shot, and the blood of the beast began to systematically cover Peter's clothing. |
"It's good," said Peter, "but we shouldn't praise the day before sunset." It is possible that his strength will return and we will be |
threatened ... although, to be honest, I would prefer that this does not happen. |
- Nymby'm knew that you should immediately enter R2. The hemorrhage slowly stops. If you do nothing, he will rise and tear you apart! |
Blow! |
When he ran away, Peter fired some more machine-gun shells, but this time he aimed them more at Roxi's face. Then, when he |
entered R2, he lost his balance and felt the ground tremble under his feet. He looked around. Roxi tried to stand up. Rubinek was |
helping Mike all the time, but his rockets and paralyzing missiles just didn't work on Roxi enough. Rubinek |
once again contacted Peter: |
- So far the rocket was the only weapon that had a significant impact on him. |
- The situation seems to be manageable. We still have nineteen rockets. |
- Remember that we have to deliver him alive, but I don't know if it can be killed. If we are unable to control the situation, we will use a |
contingency plan - escape and provide a message about its location. Don't leave R2, if I don't tell you, don't risk your life. You've already |
done a lot. |
- I will fire more rockets. What happens if I kill him by accident? |
- You will be remembered as the hero and greatest agent in history A087, but remember. We were only to weaken him strongly, but not kill him. |
Agent Ratt wanted to get information about his army from him. Nymby was curious about what his audition would look like. |
After more rockets, Roxi once again began to bleed, but now he began to fight more ferociously. Rubinek and Peter devised a plan to |
pull Roxi away from R2 so that Peter could feel safe. First Rubinek ran away and then Roxi chased him. It definitely |
made things easier. After several minutes, when Roxi could not get up anymore, Rubinek and Peter put him in a dream, from which he, without anyone's |
help, would not wake up, covered him with a black tarpaulin and tied everything to the tail of the R2 vehicle. |
Nymby finally noticed the tail of this vehicle being used. |
- I can't believe we did it. We will report this to Agent Ratcie and his agency and send pictures. Now we deserve a moment of |
rest. |
After all the congratulations that Rubinek and Peter received, they were asked to reach their next destination. In this place, |
two agents were to wait for the arrival of the helicopter that was to take Roxi to the headquarters in Shtangenhain. Unfortunately, the joy of Peter and |
Rubink passed quickly, because about two hours later, they encountered a very unpleasant situation. Everything took place in a roadside bar |
, where the more civilized part of Wanduvia was beginning. The owner of the restaurant seemed exceptionally satisfied with the |
arrival of Rubink and Peter. He said, laughing: |
- It's hard to find guests at the edge of a desert over a thousand kilometers long, but I think that if I put the building deeper, it would be even worse. |
Rubinek and Peter kept glancing out the window at their car. |
The owner of the restaurant told the story of his family. At times he seemed very eccentric. Despite this, one could see that he considered |
Rubink and Peter as the strangest guests on the short list of visitors to his premises. |
- On average, one customer a day if you can make a living out of it. |
- Well, this is not my only job. I still work in a weapons factory. Who would have thought? |
After some time, Rubinek and Peter heard words that were to encourage them to enter the back room and talk to the rest of the |
employees. They refused, however, for lack of time. When they left, they had an unpleasant surprise. At this point, the whole mission |
lost its meaning. When Peter saw that nothing was attached to the tail of R2 he fell into a real frenzy. Losing hope in the mission's success, he threw a |
few curses and nervously revolved around their vehicle. Then Rubinek said: |
- Nymby'm disappointed just like you. Nymby wasn't sure how it could happen, and yet. Roxi's Company must be based nearby. |
They must have just left. Nymby was thinking about organizing something like this. How did they manage to do it noiselessly ... and |
how could they do it so quickly? It had to be a plan. Someone must have noticed it, then called their unit. Nymby'm |
knew they must be nearby. We need to hurry up. I did not think that I would be forced to speak in this way because it is unprofessional, |
but today it is fully justified. It's time to play on this rubbish, they dug us, we dug them too! |
- And I like that attitude! Report to Agent Ratcie? |
- Nymby - refusal. |
- Let's not waste time. |
During a rough ride, Rubinek expressed his theory about the whole incident: |
- Nymby'm suspected. Those at the bar could have had a relationship with Roxi's Company. Note that they've been trying to distract us all the time. They still |
behaved very strangely and probably wanted us to stay with them until the dark night. |
- Accurate observation. If we do not find any further clues, we will be forced to learn more about this place ... |
Perhaps Peter wanted to add something, but he noticed a white van whose color was varied by the green inscription "ROXI'S COMPANY", which covered the |
side walls of the vehicle. |
- It's good, we already have them. In a moment the situation will be certain, Rubinku. |
After a few seconds the situation changed unexpectedly. At the moment, seeing four helicopters hanging over the back of R2 and Roxi's |
Company employees holding powerful machine guns in their hands, it was easy to visualize it. After all, you could still believe that |
Janil's technology is more powerful than ordinary helicopters and traditional weapons, but not everything went so easily. Before Rubinek and Peter |
could fire any shots, they landed once again in their vehicle turned over. Thanks to Janil's good supply, the |
airbag reopened unscathed. |
- shit! - cursed Peter - I didn't expect that. I'll take out supplies. |
- Wait a second! Let's do as last time, I will come out first. Nothing happened to you at all? |
"It's really decent for something like that, but I think I pulled one month in my wrist." |
- Nymby'm knew I should go now. |
- Ruby, I'm coming! |
Rubinek fired several shots to neutralize Roxi's Company employees. He noticed, however, that with such equipment the |
paralyzing shot did not work well enough for them and he knew that when Peter appeared he would have to save his life. He |
remembered the conversation he had with him about the killing. He knew that he might have to kill someone soon. The tension increased with |
every passing moment. The whole action began, however, going in an unexpected direction. The moment Peter got out of R2, Rubinek began to use |
sharper ammunition. Nobody would have thought, however, that Peter would be taken to the ground by one shot from a stun gun, which proved to be accurate. After |
all, that Peter was paralyzed would be easier to believe than what happened to Rubink, whose one shot from a rocket |
launcher threw straight into a sand dune ... where he got stuck, having his back on the ground. Men in white vests easily |
pulled Peter's motionless body on the ground, then scooped Rubink into a special vessel, convinced that it was a moment of glory for |
Roxi's Company. The fear was to imagine what Rubinek must have felt now, unable to drill through the vessel in which he was trapped. |
Attempts to get out of a launcher with a small rocket also failed. A man with a bloody |
scar on his forehead secured Rubink from underneath with a special tape, knowing that Rubinek had no security from underneath. Rubinek heard that |
a Roxi's Company employee laughs at his revolving wheels positioned between his hind paws, saying they are intended to |
imitate testicles. Rubinek knew that it was difficult for it to be worse and that he fell to the bottom. It can be added that, imprisoned in an armored |
sandworm with sand, he saw nothing on his back. After some time, he also heard a familiar voice. So he was right, the bar employee was |
involved. The worst was ignorance of what awaits him and Peter and total helplessness. After some time, he tried to launch more |
rockets from his back, hoping that they would now properly turn on, but the magazine did not open at all. At the same time, |
in another room, Peter, who had just been paralyzed and put to sleep with the drug, slowly woke up, tied to a chair. It was |
only then that he realized what a hopeless situation he was in. He also noticed that all the buttons on his shirt were unfastened. |
- We had to review you. We found a wallet, some ammunition, a cell phone, and one more thing that made us extremely |
interested. |
The man, saying this, held a pin-thick device between the index finger and thumb of his right hand. It was finished with small |
teeth. |
- Well, it happens that sometimes some rubbish falls into our bag, so it would not be surprising, but this item was probably not accidental, |
it was in a small leather case and was additionally wrapped in foil. It looks like a small key, used for some gadget ... maybe you can tell |
us what it is? |
Peter was experiencing a nightmare, he couldn't say a single letter. |
"Good, I was joking," the man continued, "we all know what this item is for." A little over a year ago, one of our agents |
stole a concept sketch from the bag of one of the agents of a black rat. |
Peter tried to break free and move the chair, but then he realized that the chair was permanently attached to the floor. He |
also realized that his life was hanging on a thread and that he would be subjected to psychological and possibly |
physical torture for the next few hours . When the men left, Peter was alone in the room for a few minutes, but he had no plan to escape. The maneuver of his |
bound hands was small, so he did not reach into the pocket of his pants, which, moreover, were probably thoroughly emptied. |
Peter, completely losing hope, shouted several times: |
- Ruby! Rubinku! RUBINKU! |
Instead of Rubink, he heard, however, the loud laughter of men who said about him among themselves: "The guy has departures". After a while, Peter, however, saw |
trapped in the vessel Rubinka, which men brought along with the computer. |
- And how is your Rubinek? they asked, still bullying him. |
Peter and Rubinek probably had a lot to succeed, but unfortunately the circumstances did not allow them to do so. However, this changed when |
men said they had to go get the equipment they needed. |
- Why didn't you call them? |
- Nymby knew that there was poor coverage in the sand, and the ammunition did not want to attach. Nymby was helpless, although I don't believe it. |
- Fucking misfortune! |
Although Peter seemed to have nerves of steel, he began to shake and his voice faltered. You could even see one tear that |
ran down his cheek. |
- But know, Rubin ... if I died, know that I have had a real companion ... of you for several days. |
- You are my friend too, Pete. Nymby wasn't sure how it happened ... Nymby got stuck. |
- Don't blame yourself, it happened. We had a damn misfortune. If any of us let me down, I stared and got shot with a |
stun gun, and if it was about you, getting stuck didn't depend on you at all. I know I shouldn't ask, but are you |
able to calculate how likely it is that we'll both be able to get out of it? |
- Nymby couldn't. Too many variables. Nymby'm know what they will try to do to me. Nymby I'd rather not think about it. |
- I will refrain from commenting, but I guess it just can't be worse. |
"They'll rummage in my brain as long as they can." I am afraid that they might damage me or change something or remove |
memories from my head . |
- No, this can't happen. I don't believe you are helpless. |
- Nymby just wanted to say I'm sorry. Nymby'm not sure how it will end, but I know that there is a chance that we will get out |
of it ... and you told me that you did not start any family and you have any siblings? |
- I have a brother? |
- What about the parents? |
- They live in the countryside ... now I think about them and my brother and ... I can't believe it, I've never encountered such a situation. All |
actions were always under control, although I was wounded once, but it is not the same. I would give a lot to earn a shot once more instead of |
experiencing this nightmare. |
- Pete, Nymby must have told you something. If brainwashing happens to me, I will try my best to keep my mind |
clear , but if I can't keep control, don't blame me. |
- Of course, you know ... I prefer, but imagine that they will not read the coding system that Janil invented. They can't |
reprogram you ... and I prefer to think I'm going to keep us, but they won't do us any harm. We'll survive and Ratty's agents will find us. |
"I hope so too, Pete." |
After a while, the men came back with boxes full of tools. |
- What do you want? - Asked Peter - Information? Money? Equipment? |
- You will learn everything in your time ... |
Then Peter realized that his torturers wanted one more thing that he did not mention - satisfaction. They could only get her at the expense of |
his suffering and Rubink's. Apparently, nothing pleased them like the harm of their enemies. Peter, so he knew |
there was no point asking if they could afford pity and let them out. He decided, however, to formulate this question differently: |
- Is there a chance that we will get out alive ... in one piece? |
- When we live, we will see - said one of the men - I will tell you good news, however, because I will not be so cruel, because I do not want |
you to breathe my fatigue. I have this message for you, so that you set yourself, that this is just the beginning of our meeting and it |
will only get worse. |
After a while, the man began to choke on his laughter. Then Peter saw the most painful view he probably saw in his life - two |
men inserting the key into the appropriate socket on the chassis, a powerless Rubink. Rubinek then said: |
- Goodbye Pete ... although Nymby should say "see you, Pete", but Nymby couldn't promise you that. |
- I would like to say "see you again, Rubinku", but I can't promise you that we will meet again. |
- How touching! - All employees of Roxi's Company began to wallow with laughter. |
Then with the time of removing a few items responsible for feeding Rubink, Rubinek just fell silent. He gave no sign of life. He looked like a |
computer turned off, inside of which an IT specialist was poking. |
"Ruby," said one of the men, "Janil's historical invention, so much money, so much time, so much improvement!" Now you can do shit |
Janil, we won with you, now we can get everything you need from your project, instead of having to cheat on it and finally |
send it back to you. |
Everything that men did over Rubink's body lasted a very long time. They carefully watched each particle, and then connected something to the computer. At |
one point they were apparently watching recordings from Rubink's camera that they were rewinding. After a moment, Peter heard him furious. |
- Pete, he recorded your bare ass! Were you there? Or maybe some other agent was waiting for you there ?! This John from A087 ?! |
Peter pretended not to hear anything. After a few minutes, an employee of Roxi's Industries, looked at another file and said: |
- I am an IT specialist, I worked with this program in college, it's not difficult. |
"We'll take care of it," another employee replied, "but first make backup copies of all recordings and materials and send it to |
all our employees." |
Then someone said: |
- Take him better move to another room, because he will have no surprise. |
Then Roxi's Industries employees put Peter to sleep with a gas sachet, then carried him to another room where they |
woke him up. He was also tied to a chair. |
- We decided to surprise you. It's about our rummaging around Rubink. |
Then, however, Peter saw something that distracted him a lot. It was a tool chest. Peter wondered what the |
toolbox was for two men in such a cramped room. The men, seeing that Peter was staring at the toolbox, |
said: |
- We thought that some tools would not be useful for us to search in Rubink. |
Then Peter asked tiredly: |
"What can I do to let you go?" |
- Nothing by now. |
- Fuck you! |
Peter has already stopped caring about expressing himself culturally towards the employees of Roxi's Company. He knew that sooner or later he would |
die. |
- What did you say? |
- Fuck you! he repeated. |
Peter felt that now body torture would begin. He was also right. |
"We have to prepare now and you rest." |
Then, too, a strong kick in the head, caused that Peter lost consciousness for a few minutes. When he woke up, he saw a |
white bottle in one of the men's hands , with an orange pictogram saying that the substance is highly corrosive. With this substance, the men fell on |
Peter's chest. Peter tried not to scream in pain, but he couldn't. He also heard the loud laughter of men coming from |
another room who apparently heard his screams. This was not the end of Peter's suffering, later it was rubbing coarse salt |
into his wounds and, among other things, knocking his fingers with a hammer. The pain was so strong that Peter lost consciousness again. |
Next time, Peter woke up in a comfortable mattress, which seemed to surprise. He was covered with bedding covered in his blood. He couldn't |
move his fingers that were swollen. He got up with the last of his strength. He had trouble catching the door handle. He opened it with his elbow. As he |
crossed the hall, he almost fell over, heard the ominous laughter of Roxi's Industries employees. Then he felt a strong desire for |
revenge, but the problem was that there was nowhere else, and even if he was with his hands, he could not do anything. The moment |
Peter saw Rubink standing on the floor talking to him, he wondered if he was dreaming. |
- Hi, Pete. Nymby had a concept ... |
At that moment, the men put Rubink on the table and once again began to spin it. Interestingly, he did not protest at all. |
- I won't let you! shouted Peter, trying to pounce on the men. As a result, however, he fell over. |
- Go back to the bedroom, where you will recover. You will be useful to us later, but only when you recover. |
Two men began to drag Peter along the floor like a cloth. At this point, Peter had no strength at all to resist. |
This time, Peter was locked in the room. He was alone, of course. He tried to calm down there. Based on what he saw, he |
was convinced that Roxi's Company employees were trying to brainwash Rubinku. There was no window in the room, so the |
only way out was through a door that would not break Peter normally, but now for Peter even |
moving was a big problem and Roxi's Company employees knew it well. |
A dozen minutes later. |
Peter was glad to see that the door to the room he was in was being cut by a laser. |
- Nymby'd have to kill you. This is my mission. |
At first, Peter thought that Rubinek had ventured into black humor, but over time he realized that it was not good. Peter hid under the bed |
to protect himself from a series of missiles. |
- Rubin, what happened ?! We were friends! They brainwashed you! Just like Bond in Ian Fleming's novel "A Man with a Golden |
Gun". It was in her that Bond tried to kill his boss. You can't afford it, you can't kill me! I work for A087 and Agent Ratta. |
- Nymby'm not given that you are my friend. Nymby'is on my killing list, just like Ratt the one you mentioned. |
- You don't know what you are saying. It wasn't you, they were rummaging in your head, they changed your data! Believe me! |
- Nymby knew how I was trained. Nymby was an obedient machine! Nymby'm knew that if you want to kill, you must kill. |
- Consider who your master is and you can't kill me after what we've survived. |
- No data. |
Then Rubinek began to systematically fire at Peter. |
- Stop it, please! Show mercy. I tell you we were friends! |
- And I Nymby told you - no data. Command: kill! |
Rubinek continued his shelling. |
- Don't fool me. Nymby's got to kill you. |
- Stop the hell. |
Fortunately for Peter, the bullets fired at the moment Rubinek were not harmful. They could, however, hurt. |
- Ruby, they were burying your head. Now you don't even remember what kind of ammo you kill! |
Peter, however, understood that he must get up and try to get out. He escaped, insofar as his physical condition allowed him, and Rubinek |
chased him . In the temporary absence of Roxi's Company employees, Peter pulled out his shortwave radio, tel. #, And took all the |
caches that lay at the computer. He put everything in his pocket, in his blood-soaked shirt. The whole attempt to escape |
became more complicated when the men noticed the escaping Peter, and Rubinek began to use the rocket launcher. Men, I think, however, |
decided that Rubinek would kill Peter, and if not, he would die without equipment, so they decided not to get involved. |
Before killing Peter, Rubinek, however, he began to pull R2 away so that Peter had nothing to escape. At this point, Peter decided to seize the opportunities and hid himself deeply |
inside the rock, where he tried to shelter temporarily. While there, he decided to also notify Rattha by sending him a text message from the |
phone. |
Chapter 7. Meeting with Rattata. |
Rubinek woke up at a familiar table at A087. |
- What happened? he asked. Where's Peter? |
Agent Ratt then said, |
"You're stuck in the sand." People from Roxi's Industries captured you. They did you so-called brainwashing. It's not your fault at all. I don't know |
how to talk about it, because if I said you were trying to kill us, that wouldn't be true. They did it with the help of you. You have come |
a long way from Wanduvia to us. Fortunately, Janil came to the place and thanks to him we were able to upload your memories. You probably don't |
remember, however, how you behaved when you were reprogrammed. You didn't let us ... or rather they didn't let us |
easily get inside because they reprogrammed everything, but we found a way. Peter told us everything. |
We had to get you stuck in the ground. |
Then Rubinek saw bloodied bodies, dead agents, which had been cleared from the corridor. |
- Don't blame yourself. |
- This is terrible! |
- And Smudge, rats, mice. They are alive, are they all right ?! |
- Relax, they had Janil's hologram that distracted you temporarily. Don't blame yourself for all the crimes and misfortunes that the vile |
Roxi's Company used you to do. It's not your fault. Although there were people who witnessed these crimes and have already spoken about you on the |
news, but Janil corrects everything and explains what happened to the camera. |
- And Peter? What condition is he in? |
"He was in good enough condition to explain this incident, but he was in serious condition." He spent almost two days with his wounds, |
hiding in the rocks. In addition, he did not have access to any food and did not sleep because he wanted to have everything under control. We found him |
with broken fingers, numerous cuts on the skin and burns that must have arisen when the skin contacted with corrosive acid. Our agents |
flew for him as soon as possible. Then an R2 vehicle was also found, pulled away from Roxi's Industries headquarters for some |
fifteen kilometers. As far as Peter's state of health is concerned, his condition is improving, but Peter still has to recover. |
- How much time has passed since the last day of the mission. |
- week. |
- And the headquarters of Roxi's Industries? Have your agents entered there? |
- They entered, but the problem is that no one was there and there were no interesting items. I know I can trust them. About |
enhancer state of health of Peter may indicate that it already pulls out to make this kick ass bastards of Roxi's Company, but unfortunately |
we can still come off the mission. We have to give him another week to recover. |
- Nymby was glad he was improving. Could Nymby see Peter? |
- Yes of course. |
- And Smudge and the rest are also? |
- Of course, they visited Peter and waited for your awakening today. |
- And Janil? |
- Of course it is. He helped me with your programming and brought Peter the medicine he needed. |
- I think I'll visit Peter at first. |
Agent Ratt led Rubink to the room where wounded Peter lay. |
- Hi, Peter, Nymby was glad Nymby saw you. |
- Hey Rubin, I'm glad to see you too. |
- You look much better than on the last day of our mission. Nymby's heard you want to kick that bastard from Roxi's Company. |
- It's true, but they make me wait. Apparently they were there but they didn't find anyone ... and that's good because I want to dig them in person ... I mean, will |
you help me, Rubinku? |
- Of course, Nymby considered it a duty ... and now even more so, because Nymby failed. It was a really unfortunate coincidence. |
- It's not your fault Rubinku. I have good news for you. The thing is, when I ran away from the headquarters of Roxi's Company, I took some |
caches from them, thanks to which we can load the information stored on them on the computer. |
"By the way, how did you contact Agnet Ratta?" Did you take the phone |
- Yes, I am surprised that I managed to do it. Agent Ratt has recently told me that Mike's case has cleared up. In addition, they already caught a |
man from whom Mike got drugs. It was nobody from Roxi's Company. This man once organized a bank robbery in Shtangenhain. |
Actually, nobody gave him those drugs. He himself took them from the house of the criminal. Mike seemed a prudent man, but one day when |
he looked at the drugs under a magnifying glass, he became addicted. Actually, it's difficult to say that. The thing is, they contained a substance that was |
highly addictive ... and Mike accidentally had to breathe it a bit. The drug was supposed to increase susceptibility to aggression. Just like in the movie |
"Raspberry juice". Perhaps Roxi's Company employees had a duty to take this drug. Their profession is all about aggression. |
- Nymby was glad that Agent Ratta had already solved the case, but this idea of ??Roxi's Company is something terrible. Peter, Nymby was glad you were all |
out of it. |
- But I'm glad you're safe and sound now, Rubin. |
Later, Rubinek visited Smudge's cat and rats and mice. |
- Hi to all of you. |
- We are glad that you have come back to yourself after this terrible situation. |
- Nymby'm sorry that Nymby'm got caught, but I didn't predict that I would get stuck in the sand. The point is, if I didn't get caught, |
you wouldn't have to fight for my life. |
- Don't blame yourself, Rubin. |
- Everyone keeps telling me that, but I knew Nymby was to some extent Nymby's fault. |
- How could you know you were stuck? |
Then Piastus approached Rubink: |
"It is not your fault, Rubinek." You are great. Do not blame yourself for what happened because you have suffered enough at Roxi's Company base to |
blame yourself for crimes committed by others. |
- Nymby'am thank you, Piastek ... Nymby'm able to call you that? |
- Pyrias! Now we are the best friends! |
- Nymby was happy! |
Then each of the rats and mice came to Rubinek, told him some warm words and asked him if he would become his friend. Rubinek |
thought it was a nice change after what he had gone through. In addition, he heard that due to the fact that he is a friend of Smudge, in his square in |
Smudginów, a city named in honor of Smudge's ancestor, known from the legend - Smudginator, his monument will be built. |
Later. |
Rubinek decided to go to Janil. |
- Good morning, Janil. I apologize for the whole incident. Next time I will have to be more careful. |
- Nothing happened, Rubink ... though, I really should say differently. It is not true that nothing happened, but it is true that |
what happened did not happen because of you. You had no idea that you would get bogged down, and you probably didn't get bogged down yourself, only someone |
helped you, but don't worry Rubin, you won't get bogged down anymore. We can do something about it. Unfortunately, I had to explain myself in public now ... not |
because of you, but now I have to explain to everyone how it happened. |
- Maybe Nymby should, now carry out some mission as it should. Nymby hoped that I would soon destroy Roxi's Company and all |
people would learn everything about the organization's activities. |
- Rubin, we talked about what to do so that you do not get stuck again, so come with me ... stairs or elevator? |
- I think Nymby should practice going down the stairs. |
Janil led Rubinka to the staircase, who was tired, jumping from step to step on his own tail. After some time, he |
decided to make the task easier and began to slide down the side wall. The room where Janil led Rubinka was |
underground. As they entered, Janil said: |
- There are some of my tools in this room ... do you see this table in the middle of the room? |
- Nymby'm seen. |
- Try to hit him. |
Rubinek reached the table without any problems. The room was underground, so there were no windows in it. It looked like a magazine |
full of strange tools and computers. |
- #Rubinku, if you want to undergo this surgery, I would like you to sleep for about forty-five minutes. |
- Will I feel pain later? |
- No, it certainly won't, but due to some complications, I would like to do this treatment when you are sleeping. |
Then someone came into the room. |
- What are you doing now, Janil? |
- I will operate on him. |
"But it's safe now, isn't it?" |
- Yes, the only purpose of this operation will be to install a flap to prevent it from getting stuck in the sand. |
"I didn't know that dried Hastelinian Granite could be cut by anything?" |
- I have ways. |
- Strange, I thought Rubinek was indestructible ... Good, Janil, I won't bother you anymore. I came to this room only for my notebook. |
Less than an hour later, Rubinek woke up. |
- Hey Rubinku. |
- Hi, Janil. |
"Do you think we should check you out in the field?" |
- Nymby was eager for that. |
"I installed a small gadget that will help you get out of the sand when you slide it out." |
Janil showed Rubinek the picture and added: |
- It's the black rectangle signed as Jumper. As you can see, you slide it through the same hole through which you extend the circular saw, but |
unlike the circular saw, Jumper is completely safe for the environment ... unless you just bounce on something that is easily |
damaged. Do you want us to test now? |
- Nymby was ready. |
Janil and Rubinek came out into the courtyard of the A087 headquarters, illuminated by the sun. Janil went for the right-sized vessel, which he |
filled with sand and made a driveway of the right length for him. After several unsuccessful attempts and changes in the angles of inclination of |
individual fragments of the ramp, everything worked out - Rubinek got bogged down, as it was supposed to happen. After a while, however, he jumped and landed on |
his wheels about half a meter in front of the ramp. |
- Janil, Nymby should thank you for this modification. Nymby was very pleased with her. |
- Nothing to thank, it's a trifle. It is a pity that I did not think about it before ... |
Later in the evening. |
Rubinek came to the room where Peter lay. Interestingly, Agent Ratt was also there, who was talking about something. |
"Nymby," said Rubinek. |
- It happened - Agent Ratta said - What I told you, in this situation building A087, in which we are now staying, will be bought by |
me as a magazine for RSS. |
"Nymby knew it would be an honor for Mike to hear about it." Poor Mike, it turned out that it wasn't really his fault. |
"Ruby, I can't sit on this bed anymore," said Peter. "I would like to continue my mission, but I know I should |
recover for a few more minutes , but I would like to stand up and kick my ass with this Roxi's Company fuck. Let them finally get theirs. It |
could have been a mission, after which my image will be posted in the hall of fame at the headquarters of RSS. Maybe what I am saying sounds a little |
selfish. As if I was thinking only about myself, but I know that it was my mission that ended in failure, so I blame myself for it |
and make a promise that I will repair what I screwed up. |
- Pete, you shouldn't blame yourself - Rubinek comforted him - You know that we were unlucky and our failure was caused by many different |
misfortunes. It's not your fault, Peter. |
"Rubinek is right," Agent Ratta said, "it was an unlucky mission, just like the one at Mount Casstou in January 1993 in which I took part. |
If it makes you feel better, I will hang your image in the hall of fame in the RSS and next to the picture of Rubink, because together in the last few days |
you have really achieved a lot of useful ... you overpowered Roxi, you were all the time willing to help us selflessly and |
most importantly somehow you managed to survive the hell that Roxi's Company gave you. |
- Thanks, dear Ratto, but I feel something that bothers me, this hunger, I could do more and I know I will. |
"I won't forbid you to do this, but wait until the end of the week." Then we'll better organize this action. Will you need a third agent? |
"Maybe it's better not," said Peter, "I don't like being responsible for someone else's life, I prefer us to play it like before." Well, unless there |
is an exceptionally crisis situation. Then you can send us help. And what does Rubinek think about this? |
- Nymby wanted us to organize it the way Pete would be comfortable. |
"Good," Agent Ratta said, "just know you still have time to change your mind." |
- Let's remember that our mission is now a big question mark - said Peter - It is not known whether there is sense in organizing a costly and |
laborious trip to Wanduvia, because we know that we can find an empty building. I think the base in the Wanduvia desert is not their only |
home. I think that after the whole incident they decided to leave somewhere temporarily. |
- Nymby knew we should look into the memory of Roxi's Company portable computers. |
- Good Rubin idea, but security worries me. |
"You always have to try ... and besides, Nymby dare say that I know something about security." |
"I see things get interesting," said Agent Ratta, quoted in an interview, "I'll get you a laptop." |
Agent Ratt pulled a small black laptop from the desk and set it on the table next to Peter's bed. It turned out that the first portable memory |
contained evaluation of conduct during mission agents. |
- So Mr. Paul Darkstone will be remembered for blowing up a city glory at the construction site on Peter Slate Street. |
This information was very useful to me, ”said Peter impatiently. |
- Nymby didn't know why this mission was to be used. |
"Maybe it was all about the explosion when someone was there," Agent Ratta said. |
The titles of the next missions did not say much. For example, they sounded: "A003", "Jump in D. Downtown", "Infiltration 30.051". |
- A jump in D. Downtown could be a bank robbery in Dennars Downtown about a year and a half ago. Interestingly, checking |
this crime has not yet been found - Agent Ratta said - I think it is solid evidence and I also think it is worth |
notifying the police. |
Chapter 8. Meeting in Shtangenhain. |
After reviewing the information on the first portable memory, Rubinek, Peter and Ratta reached for the second. They found much more important |
information there. There was detailed information about each of the Roxi's Company employees. The information and films that |
Rubinek had in it were also remembered, and most importantly, information about the location of the headquarters of Roxi's Company. |
"Their largest headquarters is in Shtangenhain," said Peter. "Wanduvia is more like a warehouse, but |
Shtangenhain's headquarters are in Buttons City." Unfortunately, as far as I know, up to seven hundred and sixty kilometers to the center of Buttons City, but it |
is at least ten times better than the road to Wanduvia. |
- Great message! |
- Nymby'm agreed. |
Rubinek and Peter spent the next days resting. During this time Rubinek managed to get to know the cat Smudge and his friends better. The mood of |
Rubink, however, definitely deteriorated after watching the material on TV, which read: "JANIL'S AGGRESSION: MECHANICAL KILLER |
RAT - WHAT SHOULD WE DO?". Photos that were displayed during the message were blurry, due to blood and corpses that could |
disgust some viewers. It was only comforting that the man reading the news mentioned that there were |
rumors that Janil did not plead guilty, saying that during one of the test missions in Wanduvia, there was |
a certain error in Rubink's protocol that caused was kidnapped by local terrorists and reprogrammed. The man ended the topic by |
saying: "On the Internet you can find information about Janil's statement in which Janil apologizes for the complications that led |
to the fact that his robot fell into the wrong hands and was maliciously reprogrammed. In his post he also promised to |
fix it as soon as possible this defect. " |
Later. |
Rubinek went to Peter and told him everything. |
- I saw these messages, Rubinku. |
- Title: "AGGRESSION FROM JANIL'S SIDE: MECHANICAL KILLER RAT - WHAT SHOULD WE DO?" by no means means the author's impartiality. |
- Ruby, they spread gossip, but it will pass soon. They will start to admire you and learn the truth about you. |
- Nymby knew that Nymby was unwelcome. |
- That will change soon, Rubinku. |
A few days later, mission day. |
Peter has now fully regained his physical condition and his well-being has also improved. |
- How are you, Pete? asked Rubinek. |
- After such a shock it is difficult to recover quickly ... I mean the psyche, but I think it is much better and we can get on the trip |
to our mission. |
- Nymby was happy with that. |
- And when it comes to your image, don't worry. Janil will unscrew everything. |
After packing all the necessary things, Rubinek and Peter could get on their way. Agent Ratt said to them: |
- I think you know well what mission plan we have developed. Peter will put on a Roxi's Company outfit, a blonde wig, tinted glasses and apply |
ointment to the skin of his face according to the instructions. Rubinek will temporarily hide in Peter's bag and come out in a crisis situation. Remember to |
get all the information you need first, and only later, you'll be able, as Peter said ... to kick ass these bastards. In |
case of problems, we'll send you an agent as soon as possible. Good luck and let's stay in touch. May you do better this time. |
Peter and Rubinek rode making short five-minute breaks to stretch the muscles every two hours. They also took one longer break |
for a meal for Peter. |
"Nymby should stop reading these reviews about me on the internet," Rubinek said. |
At this point, some people who saw him in the room reacted with screaming, panic and escape. Then Peter said: |
- He is harmless, he is my assistant at work. You have no reason to worry. He didn't kill anyone, he was only reprogrammed because he got |
stuck in the sand. Now Janil has introduced modifications to it and mounted the so-called has the task of Jumper, which is to counteract such |
dangerous situations. He has already regained consciousness and decides for himself what he does, there is no reason to fear. |
People who just panicked and tried to enter, hesitated at that moment. One woman was still in constant anxiety, so |
she left the place, but the rest at this moment seemed to be more interested in Rubinkko. |
- Nymby would like to apologize for them. It was an accident, they broke into me. Nymby wanted to say that I do have |
military equipment , but it only serves to defend other people against all sorts of criminals and psychopaths. Nymby wanted to tell you that |
I'm harmless. Now you can look at me more, touch me. Before you do this, however, know that Nymby's name was Rubinek, |
although they also call me, for example: Nymbot, Rubinstein, or Robot Chrobot. |
- What does "Nymby" mean? a boy asked. |
"Forgive me, but Nymby couldn't say, but it's my biggest secret I can't reveal." You can ask me various other questions. |
- How much is 2963 x 6392? asked a man with a calculator. |
"It's 18939496," Rubinek replied after one second. |
"I think people should change their minds about him," said Peter. |
- Nymby'm noticed a certain regularity in your operation - added Rubinek after a few seconds - These numbers consist of the same numbers, but are |
given in a different order. Was the choice of numbers random? |
- No. |
- So is it true that you were born on the second of September 1963 and the sixth of March 1992 is your child's birthday? |
- How do you know? |
- It's intuition. |
- I gave my son's date of birth and date, but you are impossible. |
- Thanks. |
After this situation, a whole bunch of people in the room asked Rubinko some questions and recorded his answers. Unfortunately, at one point Peter |
said that he was in a hurry and must go. |
- Nymby was more comforted. |
- I'm happy Rubinku. Unfortunately, we will arrive no sooner than half-past seven, but it is important that we will get there anyway. |
About a quarter of an hour before reaching the headquarters of Roxi's Company, Rubinek and Peter made a stop. Peter entered the public toilet, where |
he put on a bulletproof vest and Roxi's Company outfit. He also put on a wig to imitate light hair color and applied an ointment to his face, the |
effect of which was imitation of various types of scars. |
- Nymby didn't know if they had such an employee. |
- It doesn't matter if they have it or not ... although I'd rather not meet the other myself. The point is, there are only members of Roxi's Company that everyone is |
unlikely to know each other. It is only important not to be the one who is on their blacklist. |
"Nymby knew that maybe tonight I would have to pull the trigger." |
- Don't worry, the employees at Roxi's Company don't have a pinch of humanity or family. They are only to bully |
and kill. I understand your doubts, but you also have to protect me. To be honest, I also have a bit of anxiety about myself, I'm afraid |
that someone will find out and get a bullet in the head. I don't wear a vest there, but could an agent of a class like Agent Ratta be wrong? |
- Nymby didn't think so. |
"So everything should go our way." |
- Nymby thought so too. |
- I'm an optimist ... at least today. |
- And maybe we'll find Roxi. |
- It would be good. Before continuing, I will do only a few physical exercises that stretch the muscles. After eight hours of driving you don't have a good fight. |
Peter went to the right place to start exercising. Then he saw a Roxi's Company van driving down the street, which stopped |
at the traffic lights. |
- Can you give me a lift? asked the driver. |
"No thank you," answered Peter. |
- I think we'll be the first to arrive. I know that I left too early, but on the other hand it seems like there was an accident on the way ... I |
would not want to be late for such an important meeting, but now ... After all, everyone will be there, but maybe I will use the time and stop somewhere |
on the way to eat something ... |
- Actually, I was thinking about it too ... |
- See you then. |
- See you soon. |
Then Rubinek drove towards Rubink and saw his face, which was dripping with sweat. |
"I don't think I should speak at this meeting today," said Peter. "It's such an awkward situation!" I guess I'll have to take a |
lot of sedation medications! |
- Nymby'm heard that everyone will. |
- Several hundred people? |
- About four hundred. |
- It would be nice to put all of them to gas and put them in this building. The next day, police and RSS would do the rest. |
- Nymby supported your idea, but Nymby didn't know where we got the gas from. |
- They should have him in storage ... damn! It is a pity that we only learned about it now! |
- Nymby could still paralyze them, but Nymby will take a while ... |
- The most important thing is that we find out what about Roxi and what their plans are. It is possible that there will be no aggression, only catching everyone |
we will wait until the next meeting, which we should know the date today. |
Later. |
When Rubinek and Peter parked far from the headquarters of Roxi's Company so that no one would notice them. |
"I hope the Roxi's Company didn't notice R2 next to us." Because if so, we may have a problem. |
In front of the entrance, Peter put Rubink in his bag and headed for the building. However, not everything went without difficulty. It turned out |
that at the entrance there is a fingerprint recording machine on the index finger of the right hand. |
"Nymby knew it wasn't worth trying," Rubinek said, peeping at the whole situation from the bag. "It could be live, or an |
alarm might sound." |
Then Peter came up with an idea. When one of the Roxi's Company employees passed by, Peter said to him loudly: |
"Excuse me, can you please for a moment?" |
Peter led the man to the back of the building sheltered from the world, where he unexpectedly paralyzed him, and then rolled the body towards the |
trash. He then stated that rolling a man's body to the other side of this building module would be too risky. He had to make a quick |
decision. Initially, this idea made him dislike and disgusted, but after a while he understood who he was dealing with and that it was necessary. |
Peter did it. He cut off this man's finger and said quietly to Rubink: |
- I wanted to cut off the skin itself, but I did not want me to cut something wrong, and so we know that sometimes you have to do it. Take into |
account that he was from Roxi's Company. |
When Peter put the man's finger on the scanner, the door opened without a problem. The interior of the endless building looked like |
a shopping center. The building was several stories high, and everywhere was full of separate rooms, escalators and glazed windows through |
which light fell into the building. All internal walls were white. There was order everywhere. A man approached Peter and |
told him to enter the waiting room, which was a large, round room full of benches. There were just over twenty people there. For the |
twenty minutes that separated him from his council, Peter had to be careful at every turn not to be exposed, and all the time |
he had to hear about the various murders, thefts and vandalisms they had committed. They talked about it very loudly laughing, and with each |
passing moment there were more and more of them. At one point almost all the seats in the room were occupied. Then the bell rang and everyone stood up. |
Rubink and Peter encountered further difficulties at the entrance to the hall. |
- Please, show me the Roxi's Company card. |
"I left her in my wallet, in the car ... I'll go get her soon," said Peter with all his might trying to remain calm. |
Peter took Rubink along with the bag and left the room. Before leaving, he did not forget about the most important - placing the listening device |
in an invisible place. Then, with the help of the building plan, he went to the nearest toilet, where he activated special headphones, using |
which he controlled over the course of the meeting. |
- Nymby saw some of those imprisoned us there. |
- Not only you saw them Rubinku. Probably a person who did not take part in these events will find it difficult to realize what it is |
feeling to see them in a good mood after all and not being able to do anything. |
Rubinek and Peter thought that the participants of the meeting were extremely boring, it was at least at the beginning. All the time they only talked about the |
renovation of their headquarters and other organizational matters regarding insignificant things. |
- Ruby, they are all sitting in the room now. You couldn't call in RSS agents. They would come by helicopters. You don't think it's a good time |
to catch them all. |
- Nymby was afraid that we would not make it. Such actions require a lot of time for organization. Nymby thought he'd be better off at the |
next meeting. |
Over time, it got more interesting. The host began his new statement with the words: "You are probably wondering what the mascot of our |
company is now." He mentioned that Roxi's recovery would be laborious, but feasible. He did not reveal his |
hiding places . The information about Roxi was, however, nothing compared to what Peter and Rubinek heard when the first hour of the meeting |
was coming to an end. The lecturer started with the words: "It may be shocking for some, but probably most of those present in this room do not know about our |
greatest undertaking, which we are approaching." When Rubinek and Peter heard the words of the presenter, they stood still, as if |
they were paralyzed and could not say a word. |
Chapter 9. Hidden. |
One could have the impression that the next words did not reach Rubink and Peter anymore after they were shocked. The worst thing was that they were |
only two days apart from the catastrophe they could have prevented, but would they be up to the challenge? Will they manage? From that moment, |
Peter began to record all the most important information, and Rubinek recorded everything just in case. It would seem that now it |
would be difficult for a word of the meeting participants to have a greater impact on the emotions of Rubink and Peter, but as you can see it was not so |
obvious. It started when one of the participants of the meeting raised his hand to report. When the |
chairman of the meeting allowed him to speak, Rubinek, Peter and everyone in the room heard the words: "I do not want to disturb, but I remembered |
one thing. I mean this man with blond hair and a heavily beaten face. He said he would go to the car to get the card and he didn't come back. |
Don't you think it could have been someone suspicious? " The counsel's reaction was even more worrying. He said that he had |
forgotten his arrival since he began to speak, but now he had the council abort immediately and appointed people to search the building and find it. |
- What we do? asked Peter. |
- Nymby thought it would be better to get outside to our R2. They will reach us and find us anyway ... except that they will be able to |
do it in the least expected moment, which is why Nymby thought it was better to be prepared. |
- Good Rubin's thought. |
- And maybe better when I appear first. They know our secret anyway, and the risk is too high. Prepare your ammo just in case. |
Rubinek and Peter got out, so into the corridor, where they noticed one guard who may not have been initiated, because the sight of Peter |
running with Rubinek at his side did not stimulate him too much. Not everything was going so well. While Peter and Rubinek were already getting out of the |
glass door into the parking lot in front of the Roxi's Company headquarters and the thin wall no longer obstructed their view of the orange sky, at one |
point some force pressed Peter to the ground and a bang was heard. The reason for Peter's fall was a missile launched by one of the four |
employees of Roxi's Company standing at the entrance. Fortunately, Peter was wearing a bulletproof vest that protected him. It was worse with an |
uncovered face, which came in contact with asphalt with great force. After the shot, Peter had rather no problems getting to R2, and was |
shielded by Rubinek all the time, and when he saw the employees of Roxi's Company, he did what he could. After |
less than a minute, Rubinek and the R2 vehicle were in the same line. Peter looked in the mirror and wiped blood from his face and disinfected the wounds with a |
special spray. |
"It has gone too far," said Peter, opening the R2 window. "I know it's not professional, but I have to take revenge on them and get them |
sucked." Let them feel what we do! |
- We currently have a significant military advantage. There should not be any problems. At least, that's what I thought Nymby. |
- Ruby, how about organizing light furniture in their base. |
- Nymby was for! |
- Let's do it! |
After R2 entering the headquarters of Roxi's Company, demolishing glass doors and walls, Peter fired rockets in all directions, |
and Rubinek followed him step by step and did the same. One of the obstacles that they encountered on the road was a group of projectiles firing |
machine guns of Roxi's Company employees. Missiles, however, bounced off Rubink and R2 and hit the walls, and sometimes, at those |
who fired them. At one point the building was evacuated and employees began to run out, through all the cracks that had arisen |
during the landing of Peter and Rubink. Not everyone, however, escaped. Local employees of Roxi's Company, whose base was owned, were still fighting. |
At one point, when they went to the warehouse for equipment, Peter managed to break through the wall, to the next segment of the base. When he |
broke an escalator with R2, he imprisoned the employees of Roxi's Company on the next floor, for whom the only way to escape was |
to try to jump, which could result in numerous bone fractures. When the people of Roxi's Company returned, they started throwing grenades at Rubink and R2. Their |
action, however, was ridiculous. They in no way damaged R2 or Rubink, which was only shifted by the shock wave. One of the |
next stunts made by Peter was to use one fragment that had fallen off the ceiling pierced by the rocket |
as a ramp that caused R2 to rise to the second floor of the building and in a few seconds Peter was in the toilet . Rubinek, |
however, also controlled the situation all the time, climbing the wall to the second floor. Employees trapped on this floor |
reacted differently to his sight. Some of them ran away, others jumped to the ground floor, after which they often moaned in pain and, due to their broken |
limbs, tried to crawl across the floor on their stomachs. There were, however, and those who tried to capture Rubink by the back. One of them, touching |
Rubink by the back, said: |
- I have to confess something to you, my friend, I proposed to my colleagues, to play with Peter's body, by the way I managed to kill several |
agents once ... maybe I will remember their names soon, but one thing is certain ... I'm not going to stop there. |
Rubink's reaction was rapid. It was a piercing with a circular saw of a man's hand, which began to scream in pain and the sight of splattered blood. |
In this situation, he dared to jump down. |
- And so, buddy, do you still have that? asked Rubinek. |
Meanwhile, with the help of R2, Peter was breaking through the next walls of the building. Rubinek decided to follow Peter and his R2. Being |
on the second floor, Rubinek saw R2 on the ground floor. There was only one problem - it didn't look like usual. A man was lying on his back. |
Rubinek decided to react as soon as possible and went downstairs. Peter, however, at one point felt a strong gust of air from the right. |
Then he realized that someone was trying to get inside the vehicle. He reached for the suitcase by the passenger seat, then began to hit the |
head of the intruder with it. Peter saw the man lose stability. He closed the passenger side door and wiped the suitcase of a small amount of |
blood with a handkerchief. Peter didn't know, however, that the man was still holding on to the vehicle. It happened because an artificial paw |
attached to the R2 wheel pierced the left leg of a man who was now holding the vehicle with all his strength so as not to collide with the ground. So he tried to |
grab the ear. About half a minute passed, and the man could now climb the nose of the vehicle. His leg, nose and forehead that he had cut open were bleeding. |
As the man fastened to the passenger door slowly approached the front of the vehicle, Peter received a message from Rubink: |
- Peter, you have an uninvited guest! |
- What's that supposed to mean?! I already took one off! |
- It's at the right front door. |
- It's probably the same ... |
At this point, Peter saw a preview from the front camera. The man obstructed the view of the building's corridor. |
"There's only one way to do it!" |
At that moment, Peter made a sharp turn to the right and, as fast as possible, broke through the nose of the vehicle through the wall, and the man was |
crushed in a split second. At this point, Peter R2 quickly flew across the lawn, then unable to brake, quickly |
got through the parking lot and stopped for about half a meter in front of a large oak. Then he turned back, entered the building, where he |
got out of the vehicle and said to Rubink: |
- The building is probably clean now. |
- It is not known if there are still some of them in the four-story segment. |
- How many injured or dead are in this area? |
- Nymby'm calculated that dead or incapable of efficient movement and defense, in other words, thirty-two are wounded. |
- This is not much compared to the amount that has accumulated in this building today, but it should be taken into account that almost everyone escaped from |
cars from the very beginning. What do we do Rubinku? Are we searching the area? |
"Nymby thought we should look for a plan for their mission." |
Rubinek and Peter started to search the building. Nobody disturbed them during this action. Within fifteen minutes they had |
everything they needed. After all, before leaving, they decided to do one more thing. |
"R2 is all dirty in the blood, something must be done about it," said Peter. |
- Nymby thought so too. We will pour water on him. |
Peter brought a barrel from the warehouse and went to the toilet to fill it with water. Then all the liquid spilled on the front of the vehicle. |
- You noticed that there are only guys at Roxi's Company. |
- Nymby noticed. For such a large organization, it can be surprising. |
- Yeah. That's why I'm talking about it. |
"Nymby thought we should now inform Agent Rattha of the whole incident." |
- I will do that too. I also think that returning to building A087 is utter stupidity. We should stay close to here in a motel, and |
in general how far away this port is. |
- Nymby calculated that it was approximately eighty-two kilometers from here. |
- Is not so bad. |
Peter called Agent Ratta, who excitedly asked him about the details of the mission. |
- Not everything went according to plan. They realized because I had no admission card with proof of belonging to this organization. Each |
employee has a different card, as well as fingerprints. When I said I'd go for the card, I put on the taps and listened to everything from the |
toilet. Later they remembered that I left and did not return, so they started looking for me and then it just began! We drove R2 |
inside and most of them escaped. Rubinek calculated that thirty-two were dead and seriously injured, but there was no other way. There is |
only one problem, it is what they plan to do. In general, it was very good today, because if we weren't there today |
, a tragedy could have happened. We have two days. They will be in the main port and intend to go to the warehouse and contaminate the food there with the drug |
Mike was dealing with. All food from these container ships will go to Rurön. We have to stop them. |
- You shocked me ... it's very dangerous. How many will there be? |
- I don't know, probably a dozen or so. |
"I have no doubt about whether you can handle them, I'm just worried about time." |
- This port is an hour away. Until the day of our mission, we will spend the night in a motel. |
- Just tell me, do you need support? |
- We'll manage. |
- Are you sure? |
"Even if they have changed something and contaminated the food before, it will be time to notify the services before the container ship reaches Rurön." Of course, |
the sooner the better. |
- Good, I count on you and wish you luck. |
Later. |
When it was getting dark, Peter and Rubinek drove around the city in search of a motel. Before ordering the room, they went, however, to the port to |
notify all employees. Peter went to the reception and said: |
- I work for the intelligence agency A087. I overheard the conversation of certain criminals today. I couldn't arrest them today. They said that the |
day after tomorrow they would be in this port and would try to contaminate food with a special drug that would cause aggression. Keep in mind what I said and |
watch out for them. I'll be back the day after tomorrow. I hope they change their mind by then ... |
Later. |
Around twenty-two, Peter paid for accommodation in the room. Later he ate a meal and went with Rubinek to the room where they watched a movie on |
television. Later, Peter said: |
"I think it's time to get up." |
- I think I should charge a little at night too. Good night, Pete. |
- Good night Ruby. |
At night some loud noise woke Peter up, and Rubinek automatically turned on. |
- What was that, Rubin? |
- Nymby didn't know, Nymby hoped nothing bad. |
Peter looked out the window. He didn't notice anything. |
- Four o'clock in the morning is approaching. Such cutting and hitting noises are rare at this time. |
- We know ... |
The very sounds of cutting and hitting at night could disturb, but they certainly would not cause such anxiety as loud screams, which after a |
while Rubinek and Peter heard. |
- Crying a small child who got scared at night of such sounds is not the same. Also, I can hear adults screaming. |
- Nymby thought we should check it out. |
- I will go there. |
The moment Peter got up, someone began to break down the door to the room where he was staying with Rubinko. In the current situation, Peter |
put on a bulletproof vest as soon as possible. After a few seconds, the door was already on the floor, and Rubinek and Peter saw the faces they |
had already seen at the headquarters of Roxi's Company. |
- Hello to you! Did you think we wouldn't find you? They said maliciously with a smile on their face. |
Peter without waiting for anything reached for his shotgun and began firing. The shock wave that formed when the projectile fired caused the |
men to fall to the floor. Nothing happened to them, however, because they were wearing bulletproof vests. So that they could not get up, Rubinek quickly |
paralyzed them. |
- We should go and see if anyone else is in this building. |
- Nymby'am agreed with you. |
Peter and Rubinek, walking down the corridor, noticed that the door to each room was torn out and no one was inside. It seemed |
that all the staff and everyone who stayed there had to evacuate outside. Peter ran down the stairs to hear some voices. |
Rubinek, who was also supposed to get down, was detained by two employees of Roxi's Company, holding, bound and strongly |
panicking a five-year-old boy. |
"Obey the box obediently, or I'll shoot that kid's head." |
At this point, Rubinek, not having too much time to react, immediately shot at the men, then began to cut the bonds that the |
boy was bound to . Rubinek ordered the boy to follow him down the stairs. After a while, they both heard the voice of a woman calling for a child. Rubinek, following |
this voice, came to the boy's mother. |
- It was one floor above. Is this your son |
- Yes, thank you very much. |
"You must have heard of me before." Recently, newspapers have put me in a very bad light, but it's because I work for an intelligence agency and |
where I am, there is often something bad going on. Has anyone called the police yet? |
- Yes, they should arrive soon. |
- Don't worry, I'll escort you to a safe place. If necessary, I will cover you. |
About two minutes later, Rubinek found Peter fighting against the bushes with employees of Roxi's Company. By the time Rubinek |
reached him , the men were already lying on the ground. |
- Rubin, I can't see them anymore so far, and the police will be here soon ... but for safety, I would prefer to drive away with our R2. |
The thing is, when I was fighting with them one of them cut my left wrist a little. You have to bear this, and besides, I should |
check there because they put a tube in me ... isn't it poison ... |
- Maybe you will enter R2 and I will look after the area and protect people. Nymby thought it would be better this way. |
Just as Peter was about to go to R2, there was a loud signal from police cars. Then Rubinek drove up and briefly summarized the whole |
story. Policemen declared that they would appear in port at the time of the planned crime. |
- The situation is under control, you can go now - said one of the policemen. |
Rubinek and Peter got in so R2. After driving some two kilometers, Peter stopped on the side of the road. |
"I feel very weak, Rubin," said Peter. |
"Nymby expected those bastards to inject you." |
After a moment in the open air, Peter was about to enter R2. He couldn't, however, stand still and fell on the bed inside the vehicle. |
Chapter 10. Goods. |
Peter woke up. It was already light outside. |
"I feel better now," said Peter. "What was that?" Soporific. |
- Everything indicates that it was just as you say. |
After eating breakfast, Peter began to drive on. |
- We should leave here. We'll go around somewhere to do something over time. Actually, we have already done everything that was |
needed because we notified the police, but this is not enough for me. I think that is not enough. |
- I thought so, Nymby. |
When Peter rode for almost an hour, he noticed two helicopters in the sky. |
- Ruby, do you think these two helicopters are a coincidence. |
- Nymby thought we could be followed. |
- Something needs to be done about it. |
- I thought so, Nymby. |
- They're too high to shoot there. Besides, we're not sure if it's them. Let's send them a warning rocket. |
Peter did what he said several times. After a while, the helicopters changed their course, and Peter stopped at a large pond. |
- Something is wrong. I suspect they did a joke to us. |
Peter started watching R2 from all sides, but didn't notice anything. Later, he began to look at his clothes. |
"I think it's no accident that they made me such a big cut with this strange tool on my left wrist." I think there is something to it. |
Peter began to look, so the wound on his hand and after a while, with the help of special tools pulled out a small object from there. |
- What is this? Chip, transmitter? |
"Nymby thought it was something that told them about our situation." |
- I think so too. You have to get rid of it. |
Peter threw the transmitter into the pond. |
- Theoretically, it could be thrown to someone else on the car, but what if they thought that we changed the car and killed an innocent person, |
and besides, if we found a car, it would be in our area, so it would not make sense, and so so that they would find us. I will |
only decontaminate this wound, because it distracts me a lot. Once I do that, we must do one thing as soon as possible - blow it. |
Later. |
Time was passing, and it seemed like Rubinek and Peter had peace from the employees of Roxi's Company so far. That night they stayed at another |
motel. Rubinek promised Peter that while he was sleeping, he would watch over him all the time. It turned out that Rubinek and Peter were |
safe that night . |
Next day. |
By ten o'clock in the morning, Rubinek and Peter had left the motel. |
- Nymby'm wondering what we are doing now? |
- I think we'll wander around the city a bit like yesterday. |
- Nymby thought we could play bowling. |
- Good idea, Rubinku. |
Around noon, Peter bought a newspaper at the kiosk, whose cover read the headline: "SHOTANGENHAIN MOTEL SHOT". Rubinek was pleased |
to see that he was mentioned in the article. |
- Nymby was glad they wrote about me. |
"They wrote about the woman who was at that motel that night that you saved her son's life." |
Rubinek and Peter spent the whole day traveling around the area to various interesting places, visiting sights and playing various |
games in the sports room . Among other things, they tossed the ball through the net and played bowling. |
- When this mission is over, I will be glad to go to RSS with my friend. |
- I enjoyed Nymby too, Pete. |
Later. |
It was approaching twenty, so Rubinek and Peter were heading their R2 towards the port. |
- They were supposed to be there before ten, but we probably want us to be there before them. |
- Nymby thought so too. |
On the way to the port, Rubinek and Peter noticed a white van Roxi's Company standing in front of the entrance to a house. When they arrived at the |
port, they watched closely for anyone coming from Roxi's Company. |
- I'm very nervous, Rubinku. |
- Nymby knew we would succeed. We've managed it recently. Now it will be no different. |
- Maybe you're right ... but I'm nervous anyway. |
The sky was already orange, and Rubinek and Peter were walking toward the reception to ask if they had seen any suspects. |
- There is still one hour until the police arrive. |
- Nymby knew. |
Then one of the port employees came up to Rubink and Peter and said something that surprised them very much: |
- You think we didn't know that Roxi's Company was preparing a scam before you informed us. Oh no no no! We |
knew this much earlier. |
Rubinek and Peter looked at the man. He was of medium height, short hair and gray hair. |
- But what does that mean? asked Peter. |
"I just think it's time for you to know something." |
The man led Rubink and Peter through the warehouse, which was full of large wooden boxes and oil barrels. Behind the warehouse there was a back room in |
which a man with a veiled face was attached to the chair. |
- Do you know who this is? |
At first Rubinek and Peter thought that someone from Roxi's Company might be sitting in the chair, but in the current situation they were too confused |
to understand anything about this story. Peter slowly approached the bound man, then began to remove the black |
cloth from his face . The view was shocking. Rubinek and Peter saw a bloodied and swollen face. It would be more appropriate to say that the view was very shocking for |
Peter, because he knew who the man was, attached to the chair. |
- Me and my boys sometimes played with Mr. Jacek, but he didn't want to play with us. |
The man started laughing, and Rubinek and Peter were both furious and confused. |
- Peter ... - tied with the last of his strength, he spoke words. |
As Peter stared at the victim, he felt the man laugh and start yanking him. Then Rubinek instantly paralyzed him, |
and he fell with a loud bang to the floor. Without thinking, Peter called Agent Ratta immediately and told him everything. Agent Ratt |
did not hide his surprise. He said: |
"Jack Hills has already been found dead after his mission, from which he did not return four months ago." |
- I know, I remember all this very well. If you still don't believe me, I can send you a picture of him, and Rubinek recorded everything. |
- What condition is he in? |
- He looks very beaten ... for now I can see his face, but I think he can be saved somehow ... |
- That's good ... I wish you luck. |
Jack Hills turned his gaze on Rubink and said: |
"So it worked ... Rubinek arose." |
"Yes, it's me," Rubinek said. "Sir, were you an agent?" |
- I worked in RSS. When I needed A087, they sent me there ... |
- This man. What was he doing to you? |
- To be honest, I don't remember everything about it. I know there were several of them. I know that they drove me from different buildings to other buildings ... and there |
they beat me, bullied me, starved me. Everything they did to me gave them great pleasure. |
- How long did it take? |
- Far too long. I can't say how much? |
- When did you hit them? |
- I was wounded during the mission. Then they kidnapped me. For the first days they told me they were from RSS and that I was in their magazine. I didn't know |
all the RSS agents, and as you can see my hijackers camouflaged themselves very well. They told me I needed to get better. I guessed later that there |
was a trick in this. Unfortunately, but it was too late. I was alone most of the time, but sometimes I was with them. They bullied me, beat |
me, gave me an electric shock, tested some strange means on me. I was tied up, I couldn't run away, I couldn't go to the toilet or |
eat most of the time. As you can also guess I couldn't kill myself. I can't believe this day has finally come ... |
- It's terrible! You've been with them for about four months. Do you want something? - Peter said. |
- Honestly, I need water badly. |
Peter ran to R2 for a water pack. Rubinek stayed with Jacek. After giving Jack water, Rubinek and Peter released him and led him |
to R2. Jack had a problem walking alone because he was swaying. So he needed a safeguard from Peter. Inside R2, Peter asked Jack, |
"What were they doing to you?" |
- They beat me, hurt me, shocked me, poured acid ... at first they crushed my hands with something and I couldn't move them at all. It's |
better now ... |
Peter studied Jack's wounds. |
- Numerous cuts - he said - In many places the skin is very swollen. I see a burn on my stomach. |
- Yes, it is very tasty. I don't know what it was, acid or boiling water. I was blindfolded. They probably wanted to check the effect of the drug on me, |
which was supposed to alleviate the pain. As you can see, not very effectively. |
Later. |
When the sky was dark, Rubinek and Peter noticed the two police cars that had arrived. Rubinek and Peter told the |
police officers everything. |
"All port staff will be questioned soon," the officer said. |
Time passed and no one came. When it was a quarter to twenty-three, one of the policemen said, |
"They should have been in forty-five minutes." It seems to me that you saw them at the motel and spoiled their plans, but we will wait |
a moment. |
When it was past twenty-three, police asked them for the address of Roxi's Company and promised to return to the port the next day |
to question the employees. Before leaving, they only took a port employee who had previously paralyzed Rubinek. While the cops |
left, Rubinek and Peter decided to stay in place as much time as needed. When ten minutes had passed since the police departed, |
The attention of Rubink and Peter was caught by a row of trucks entering the warehouse. It was not on them, however, the inscription Roxi's Company and it did not appear on the |
clothing of their drivers. Rubinka and Peter's anxiety were accentuated by the behavior of men who did not wait for the port staff, only began to |
unpack the goods themselves , and when they began to get to the other boxes, Rubinek fired a warning rocket. Then the men |
drew their weapons and started firing. At one point, Rubinek and Peter began to wonder where the port staff were. Rubinek and Peter |
knew well that some of the port staff needed to know Roxi's Company well. They were not, but certainly everyone. Therefore, as it is |
possible that only those initiated were left in the port. Or maybe it wasn't an accident. The shootings started with each passing moment. At one point |
, petroleum was ignited, then Peter ran to R2 for a fire extinguisher filled with foam. When he managed to put out the fire and returned to |
fight the workers, Roxi's Company slipped and when he fell, the oil barrel also fell over, from which liquid began to |
flow out and partly spilled on his face. Rubinek was covering Peter all the time and chasing hiding people from Roxi's Company. At |
one point, the shooting moved to the building where the restaurant was located. After some time, it seemed that he was the last |
opponent to defeat. Unfortunately, it was the latter who caused the most trouble to Rubink and Peter. At one point, when he was |
shot in the stomach by the rocket and began to bleed, he knew that he would die anyway. He wasn't afraid to take a chance and reached for a special and unique |
explosive manufactured by Roxi's Company. Rubinek and Peter did not manage to stop him. When an explosive recoil occurred, he threw |
Rubink and Peter outside. While Rubinek fell into the water, Peter hit the nose of the R2 vehicle with great force, and his face began to |
burn. Peter began to wallow in pain, but no one could do anything. While Jack Hills was inside, soundproof R2 and camera options |
were turned off, Rubinek fell into the water. Rubinek tried to get out as much as possible. It was obvious that he was fighting the sea current as much as he could, |
but everything lasted. When he managed to enter the ground, he went for the fire extinguisher with the foam as fast as possible. He |
rolled the entire fire extinguisher , and when he was about to start extinguishing he knew how to do it. When he finished, he saw the charred face of Peter, who lived only the last of his |
strength. |
- Pete! shouted Rubinek excitedly. |
"Rubin, you did everything you could, it couldn't be different ... it wasn't your fault ..." Peter said, choking. |
- Pete! You will get out of this. |
- I'm afraid not ... goodbye, Rubink. |
- Pete! |
- You were my best friend, Rubinku. |
Unfortunately, Peter was right, nothing could be done to save him. Rubinek remained for a while next to Peter's body. He couldn't believe |
what happened. When he heard the laughter of one of the employees of Roxi's Company, looking at what happened, he could only react in one |
way - he chased him. The man got into the car and started running away. Rubinek chased him along the highway. He could catch him at virtually |
any moment, but he decided to wait until the man and his car were in a safe position. While driving, Rubinek |
tried to reach Agent Ratta, but there had to be some malfunction that caused no signal. After a few minutes, Rubinek |
grabbed the criminal's car with a grappling hook and towed him straight to the police station. |
"Nymby caught him," Rubinek said, "he led the meeting yesterday." No one was in the port anymore. Unfortunately, unfortunately |
, my assistant Peter did not survive ... he was killed in an explosion. |
When Rubinek returned to the port he was extremely surprised. There was neither R2 nor Jack Hills ... nor coverage. |
Epilogue. |
The next day Rubinek returned to the A087 headquarters renovated by mechanics from RSS. A R2 vehicle was standing next to the building. Agent Ratt was extremely |
surprised to see Rubink approaching the door of the building. |
- Ruby, I'm glad to see you. |
- Nymby I'm glad to see you, too. |
"I was very scared when I couldn't track you ... and when Jack Hills told me that he had stumbled across the explosion and |
didn't see you anywhere ." |
- I didn't have much time to get a meeting. When I came back I didn't find him anymore. Nymby was in great sadness after Peter's death. |
- I'm sad too, Rubinku. |
"For the past few days he was not only an assistant for me, but also a real friend ... |
" Jack told me that he had experienced emotionally the moment when he dared to leave R2 and saw his body. It's really |
sad that we lost Peter, but at least we got Jack back. |
- Nymby was glad we saved him. In what condition do you think. |
- Janil said that he had to rest a bit after this shocking experience and wait for the swelling to go down and the skin to grow. Of course, Janil will |
bring some special medical supplies for him. |
- Where's Janil? Jack? And Smudge and his friends? |
- All of them are in the building. Hoping that you would come back, they were waiting for you ... they don't know yet that you came back. |
Agent Ratt led Rubink to the room where Smudge the cat and the rodents accompany him. |
- Hi Rubinku. How glad we are to see you. |
- I was also very happy to see you, Nymby. |
- We should get to know each other better - said Piastus - we can talk, go to the cinema for some nice movie ... |
- Nymby, I thought so too. |
- Rubin, will you live with us and Agent Rattą? - Smudge cat asked - You don't have to be with us all the time, sometimes you will be able to |
be alone too, but will you want to? |
- That, that ... would be an honor for me. Nymby'm heard many wonderful things about you from Janil and others. Nymby'm very happy! |
- We are also happy, Rubinek! |
Later. |
Rubinek talked briefly with Jacek and soon after passing the corridor he came across Agent Rattha. |
- Ratto, Nymby had a question where Janil is. |
- Ruby, I told you earlier that Janil is in this building. I'm sorry, I will correct it now, Janil went shopping ... I didn't know that. |
He should be back soon. |
After talking to Agent Rattą, Rubinek drove alone in the courtyard of the A087 headquarters. He found two tablets there. One commemorated Mike and the |
other next to Peter. Rubinek stopped at the latter and began to emit a sound of crying. He stood by him for a long time and did not want to leave. |
He still couldn't believe his friend was dead. |
Later Janil arrived. He got out of the car, walked over to Rubink and stroked his back. |
"I'm sorry too, that Peter died, but know that you always have me." |
Next day. |
Rubinek felt better, glad that he had friends who supported him. In the afternoon he appeared on the town square, where there were plenty of people. |
Some of them began to panic when he saw him. |
- Relax, you have no reason for me. I was very sad when people started thinking that I was a dangerous killing machine. No, |
it's just that I work for an intelligence agency, and I don't have light during such work. Recently, I was looking for my assistant. |
They attacked us at the motel at night and started shooting. It was thanks to me and my assistant that none of the staff or those staying overnight were killed. Last |
night, I was at the port with my assistant. We were supposed to wait there for the supply of drugs, because psychopaths from a terrorist organization had |
plans to contaminate food with their dangerous drug. We succeeded, but unfortunately, while I was fighting them, my assistant was seriously wounded |
and soon died on the spot. It's very sad. Nymby didn't want to be talked about me as a soulless machine. Nymby did not |
mindlessly follow orders, Nymby did not like violence and killing. If my surroundings are friendly, I will be friendly too. If someone behaves |
dangerously and can endanger others, I activate defense mode. Believe me, Nymby wasn't bad. It is very important for me that people |
consider me to be good. Don't run, you can talk, ask a question ... |
- Could I ask for an autograph? a little boy asked. |
- Do you have any card? |
The boy snatched the paper from the notebook. |
- Something to write too? |
- Not needed. |
- Write something specific? |
- Maybe "Nymby" ... |
Rubinek burned the laser inscription: "NYMBY". |
- Thanks! My colleagues will not believe me! |
- You're welcome. |
Later. |
Rubinek returned to building A087. |
"I was on a walk," he said. |
"Me and Janil have something to show you," Agent Ratta said. |
Agent Ratt and Janil took Rubink to the car and drove to the RSS headquarters. |
- It's a building you can come to whenever you want. |
Agent Ratt and Janil led Rubinka to the second floor, where there were plenty of commemorative photos. The one that attracted Rubink's most attention |
was the picture in which he was and Peter was with him. |
"You've gone down in history," Agent Ratta said. |
Rubinek stared at the picture and did not know what to say. Later, when Rubinek finished exploring the building, Agent Ratt and Janil |
drove him back to building A087, where Agent Ratt went to the room where Jack Hills was lying. |
"We showed him his picture at the RSS headquarters," Agent Ratta said. |
- I have to say that I'm proud of him, and I know him quite briefly, but during this time I had some strange impression. How is it |
possible that the machine can feel emotions just like we do? How is it possible that he can sympathize or cry for someone who has left us. There must be |
something more to it. I know that technology is evolving, but all the time when I talked to Rubink, I felt as if I was talking to a living |
being. I think there must be something to it. Do you also have a similar impression? |
- Yes, exactly as you say. Certainly Rubinek is unique. |
- Only how is that possible? |
- I have no idea, Jack, I have no idea ... |
