Hi! Please desysop User:Al Capone and User:Kompressor on Nonsensopedia, becouse of new polices of removing sysop access from inactive sysops (here's link) after a month of no activity sysop rights should be removed. ᒦᓂᐊ 21:23, 24 sty 2007 (UTC)

Hi D@mi. This is quite a harsh policy, and quite a precident. so I would like to discuss it with the rest of the community team before taking action. We are meeting all next week, so I will get back to you as soon as I have talked to them about this. Sorry for the delay -- Sannse 07:23, 3 lut 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thanks You. ᒦᓂᐊ 07:29, 3 lut 2007 (UTC)

Hi D@mi. As well as being a harsh policy, and very unnecessary, this means the staff team need to keep taking time to desysop people - something that could get awkward if many wikis take this route. I think it would be better for us to have some way of tagging admins that are inactive, maybe alongside their names in the admin list. I have been talking to one of the technical team about this, and will write up a request for the feature. In the mean time, I see no reason to deadmin people who havn't been around... better to just wait for this new feature. -- Sannse 20:51, 9 lut 2007 (UTC)

Re:problem report[edytuj kod]

I already repaired it. Visible are two or more dots, I changed it, for example:

Foot kebab.jpg
  • Here is 1 dot;
    • Here are 2 dots;
      • Or 3.

Re:AbuseFilter[edytuj kod]

Hi, thanks for solving the problem. I hope it stops creating pages such like these I've listed. I'll ask our sysop's team (I think there's a person who can be responsible for this extension) and write to you for giving him access to AbuseFilter. Regards, Artur21 23:08, sty 15, 2013 (UTC)

OK, we have already found – could you give access to AbuseFilter for User:Optdex? He's doing a lot of technical work, also he agreed. Artur21 16:12, sty 16, 2013 (UTC)
I found that the easiest way to do this is to allow all admins to access it. But I would suggest very strongly that only Optdex and anyone else that you all agree knows enough should touch the controls. It's very easy to set rules that break things (for example, I've seen a rule set that accidentally blocked all edits that contained any letter!). There is help on this at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AbuseFilter
Hi, it seems the easiest way to set this is to give access to all admins - so I did that. But I would suggest that you only allow Optdex and any other careful and technical people to set rules. It's very easy to make a mistake with this tool, and it can be bad when that happens (I once saw someone set a rule that blocked any article created with any letter in it!) But if you are all careful it can be very useful. The help page for the tool is at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AbuseFilter - I hope it helps -- sannse <staff /> (help forum | blog) 19:26, sty 16, 2013 (UTC)
